The CMM Programmer will be primarily responsible for the development, validation, and maintenance of all Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs using solid models and engineering drawings. This role requires technical expertise in metrology, strong collaboration with CNC and Quality teams, and a commitment to driving First Article Inspection (FAI) and process validation success. He/ She will work with Engineering or programming to determine a sequence of operations on prototype parts using best known methods of manufacture. He/ She has the authority to make program edits when proving out the CNC code on prototype parts. He/ She loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position performs set ups and runs prototype and production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.
