Ronpak company history timeline
In 1947, pharmacist Nathan Sedley recognized the need for retail packaging and purchased equipment to manufacture bags during a trip to Europe.
Established, solid supplier with continuous, stable ownership since 1947.
As Ronpak continued to grow over the years, the company built a 90,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in South Plainfield, N.J., in 1956 to support its rapidly expanding business.
In 1985 a new manufacturing facility was built in Mira Loma, California.
In the new millennium, Ronpak grew to become one of the foremost manufacturers of custom-printed paper bags and wraps, and in 2010 the company was facing a capacity crisis as demand for its products continued to grow.
In January 2012, that new production facility came online in Shreveport, LA, and one year later, the corporate headquarters were relocated to Shreveport as well.
For example, Ronpak contributed $10,000 to the Disaster Relief Fund of the Red Cross of Louisiana in 2012 to assist families still struggling to recover from Hurricane Isaac.
