What you'll be doing:
As a Maintenance Technician 2 you will perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, electrical motors, material handling equipment, skill saws, propane torch, man-lift, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, grinders, electrical test equipment and ladders as well as lift equipment jacks, chargers, and batteries.
In your role, you will perform general building maintenance including overhead doors, construction repair, roll carts, floor repair and second level gates, doors, etc... You will perform light plumbing maintenance and perform carpentry assignments as needed.

In this role you will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.
What you bring to the table:
A mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and ability to learn to read blueprints/schematics including electrical schematics
Ability to use vendor manuals and procedures to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
Ability to be trained and MHE certified to operate power material handling equipment, i.e. Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, etc.

Book reading, familiarizing yourself with the industry On-the-job training using highly specialized electronic and sonar equipment to pinpoint water leaks on a variety of plumbing systems and settings. Utilizing great listening skills to detect leaks in pools, spas, fountains, waterfalls and ponds. You will be training to detect leaks not only with listening skills, you'll be trained to dive as needed to find leaks in a structure. An Apprentice Candidate will be required to demonstrate an ability to use computer technologies to maintain work flow and test results. Good written communication skills are preferred. This company follows current COVID-19 guidelines and precautions. You will be required to sign a non disclosure agreement upon being hired.
Fully trained technician will be able to locate leaks on residential domestic/supply water plumbing systems and on pool plumbing systems and pool structures using specialized equipment. Technician will be trained as needed using diving equipment. Technicians will also be able to work well with others on larger commercial leak detection projects for both supply water and pools.
This is based on a 90 day probationary period- after the 90 days an evaluation of employment & pay will be discussed

Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Sharon Glen Apartments - Columbus, OH
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation
Pay Rate: $24 - $28/hour (based on experience and qualifications), plus on-call bonuses, commissions, and incentives

As the on-site Maintenance Technician, you'll be the go-to expert responsible for keeping the community running smoothly and residents satisfied. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys working independently and taking full ownership of their property's maintenance needs.
Perform repairs and upkeep in HVAC, plumbing, appliance repair, electrical, carpentry, lighting, pool maintenance, grounds, and apartment turnovers.
Complete resident work orders promptly, maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing lines, appliances, and pool equipment.
Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Maintain common areas, ensuring the property and amenities are safe, clean, and well-kept.

2+ years of experience in multi-family residential maintenance
Hands-on HVAC experience required; EPA or CFC certification preferred

Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude
Able to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain high-quality results

Must own basic hand tools
Hold a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance

Career SummaryWe are seeking an Orchestral String Instrument Repair Technician / Luthier to join our team!
**The position is flexible - it could be full-time or part-time! Please apply and we can determine what works for both of us! (The listed benefits assume full-time.)
As an Orchestral String Instrument Repair Technician, you will be responsible for determining each customer's repair needs, diagnosing issues, evaluating the sound, and making recommendations on what the best next steps are for repair or restoration.
You will use tools alongside your own hearing to diagnose instruments, disassemble and reassemble instruments as needed, and repair or replace instrument parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience playing and working with orchestral string instruments, have a musical background, and will have excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Listen to customer's concerns and needs about their instruments
Play instruments to help diagnose potential issues or defects & ensure repair completion
Disassemble instruments, make repairs or replace parts, and reassemble instruments
Use a variety of tools to assist in repairing instruments
Occasionally be on-site for local events to provide emergency string repair services
As the company grows, you may eventually be asked to help apprentice a new technician
The PaySalary: Hourly- or Commission-based (negotiable). If hourly, starting at $17/hr. (based on experience). If commission, 45% of labor for customer repairs.

Able to play-test the instruments (violin, viola, cello, and string bass)

Customer Work Orders
Call all scheduled customers between 8 am and 10 am
Run all calls that are scheduled for the day
Expected to perform quality repairs such as;
Repair and or touch up of leather
Repair or sewing of fabric
Replace reclining mechanisms
Wood burn in and touch-up
Repair and reinforce furniture frames
Case good assembly
Perform Bedding inspections
Order parts and put comments in work order from the customers home
Finalize all billing notes from the customers home (symptom work performed - parts used labor amount)
Additional tasks, both within the scope of this position and outside of it, will be assigned and are expected to be completed within the agreed upon time frame.
