Roofing technician job description

• Knowledge of hand-held power tools.
• Experience in PV installations, roof work, general construction, or carpentry - preferred.
• Basic understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems - preferred.
• Solar installation experience - preferred
• Comfortable with heights - required
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• A valid, clean driver's license - required

Full time work 40+ hours, overtime pay for over 40 hours in 1 week.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role.

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

• Driving a vehicle to and from various rental properties.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking, kneeling, crawling, climbing and balancing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times/100 pounds team lift occasionally.
• Must be able to carry tools and equipment up and down stairs and ladders
• Must be able to traverse a variety of properties in a variety of weather.
• Ability to climb ladders and work safely on roofs

Travel required

• Driving a vehicle to and from job sites daily.

Required education and experience

• Well-rounded experience in all facets of building exterior building renovation including roofing, siding & windows
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with both tenants and office staff
• Previous job experience: Contractors, Roofing, Siding
• Bilingual preferred, not required
• Valid drivers' license along with a dependable vehicle
• Must have a smartphone and complete daily work tickets via mobile device
• Must have your own tools for the job. Basic hand tools required.

Preferred education and experience

At least two years of related experience is preferred.

Additional eligibility requirements

Dependable vehicle required with up to date insurance, inspection and registration is required

Job Summary: As a Roofing Service Technician you will be responsible for locating leaks and performing quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner, while treating customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect. Job duties also include the completion of defined scope projects and preventative maintenance activities. Must have knowledge of all roof systems including but not limited to cold applied B.U.R., , E.P.D.M., TPO/PVC Membranes, Tile, , Coatings, Metal Roof systems, Sheet Metal and related roof accessories.
