JOB SUMMARY
Attends to the service needs of club patrons in the bar area, dining room, and event area including food and beverage service. Maintains the stock and cleanliness of the bar area, dining room and event areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Attends Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service training and adheres to the Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service policy.
Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to bar patrons. Utilizes drink measures and proper pours.
Checks customers' identification and confirms it meets legal drinking age.
Records drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into register system.
Collects guest payment, processes credit card charges and makes change (if applicable).
Takes food orders, records food orders into register system and delivers orders to bar patrons.
Maintains the stock in the bar and the cleanliness of the area. Arrange bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
Cleans glasses, utensils, and bar equipment per company guidelines and health department requirements.
Prepares garnishes for drinks and replenishes snacks, appetizers for bar patrons.
Communicates low stock items to the food and beverage manager as appropriate.
Follows closing and duty lists as appropriate.
Reports all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to company management.
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessing drinking by following company procedures.
Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To serve beverages and food to guests in the function rooms of the Hotel while providing friendly, courteous and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Also, setting up and cleaning function space.

Ensure proper set-up for all tables in assigned meeting rooms, pay attention to detail.
Inspect linen, silver, china and other table items for cleanliness and appearance.

Resolve complaints in regards to banquet functions in positive and professional manner.
Cooperate closely with other members of the banquet team including servers, porters and kitchen associates.

Acquire a working knowledge of the hotel, in house facilities and local information to respond to customer inquiries about the area.
Follow health and safety procedures.
