There is an expectation that the Counselor will be on campus at Roosevelt's Schaumburg campus, or at an affiliated University Center, 3 days per week. The Transfer Admission Counselor's primary responsibility is to guide prospective students and families through the transfer review and application process, which includes meeting with prospective students, families, and school partners to assess academic eligibility, discuss academic offerings, and inform individuals of the Roosevelt student experience. The Transfer Counselor will manage an assigned territory of partner schools, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned school partners. The Counselor will travel and attend in-person or virtual events to recruit prospective transfer students, and will review applications for admission. The person in this role will also play a pivotal role in the socialization and growth of Roosevelt's Adult and Continuing Education program, working with faculty and staff to identify and recruit adult students to Roosevelt. Counselors also serve as an initial point of contact for post-admission processes to supplement other offices like Financial Aid Services, Academic Advising, or other student support services to ensure successful matriculation of transfer students. Responsibilities/Duties: Accounts Payable: Review, process, and verify invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payment requests using Emburse/Chrome River. Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy and compliance. Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and banking information. Monitor outstanding liabilities and prepare weekly payment runs (check, ACH, or wire). Distribute checks Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable status and procedures. Assist with year-end 1099 reporting and IRS compliance. Payroll: Process payrolls for faculty, staff, adjuncts, and student employees Initiate each payroll cycle Review timesheets and payroll authorizations for appropriate signatures and entries; enter them in the payroll system Complete the payroll cycle and prepare documents for direct deposit as well as any payments related to payroll, including payment of taxes, TSAs, and garnishments Communicate regularly with employees regarding payroll Communicate with department heads regarding errors in timesheets Monitor status of web timesheets and assist employees in learning to use the web time entry system Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and preparation of W-2s. Support compliance with labor laws, IRS regulations, and institutional policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Disbursements Manager, Controller or CFO Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field; bachelor's preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or payroll. Demonstrated experience with Banner (Ellucian) and Emburse/Chrome River. Knowledge of payroll laws, IRS regulations, and AP best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage confidential information with integrity. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a higher education setting. Familiarity with federal and state tax reporting requirements. Understanding of fund accounting principles. Work Environment: Office setting with extended screen time and data entry tasks. POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the appropriate Columbia College Chicago School Director, the Part-Time Teaching Artist is responsible for the design and delivery of foundational courses in the areas of visual art, theater, dance, and music. In partnership with the Chicago Public Schools Department of Arts Education (DAE), Columbia College Chicago presents RE:ALIZE, the premier early college arts program in Chicago. Drawing high school juniors and seniors without robust arts access at their home schools to Columbia College Chicago and the Wells campus, RE:ALIZE provides a two-year sequence of standards-based, culturally relevant, rigorous coursework. In addition to completing 12 college credits in their artistic discipline through Dual Enrollment courses, RE:ALIZE students will participate in weekly workshops at Wells Community Academy High School, and complete work-based learning opportunities within their field. Each student graduates as an artistically-minded, analytical lifelong learner whose RE:ALIZE experience culminates in the presentation of a Senior Portfolio This position is part-time, continued employment is contingent on available funding for position. RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver Columbia College Chicago courses to RE:ALIZE dual enrollment high school students in dance, music, theatre, or visual arts. Create an effective learning environment that fosters students' intellectual curiosity and helps students to problem solve using discipline-specific thinking strategies. Use and stay abreast of current pedagogies and technologies that are effective in a diverse classroom. Collaborate with other program faculty and staff to use assessment techniques to maximize the effectiveness of classroom instruction that leads to learning outcomes attainment and student success. Participate in practitioner-focused meetings and trainings offered by the Department of Arts Education and/or Columbia College Chicago.
