About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician Supervisor to lead our electrical department and oversee all phases of electrical power distribution on-site. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operations while supervising and mentoring a team of electricians.
Key Responsibilities
* Lay out electrical circuits to NEC specifications and interpret blueprints and job orders for the team.
* Assign duties, schedule work, and monitor safe practices among employees.
* Assist electricians with troubleshooting control circuits and complex electrical issues.
* Design and adapt control and indication circuits for various equipment.
* Order electrical supplies and inspect wiring and fixtures for compliance with company and local codes.
* Maintain time and production records; estimate labor and material requirements.
* Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and working conditions.
* Motivate and train employees to achieve departmental goals.
* Ensure compliance with plant safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Directly supervise 4-8 employees in the electrical department. Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
* Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
* Experience: 8-10 years of related electrical experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
* Licenses: State Electrical Supervisor's License.
* Completion of a four-year Electrical Apprenticeship Program and successful passage of State Journeyman and Supervisor examinations.
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and apply advanced reasoning skills.
* Proficiency in mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical analysis.
* Demonstrated leadership, training, and delegation skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain, service, troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical and electronic circuitry and related components associated with production equipment
Must have good knowledge in the electronic diagnostics of PLC's, AC/DC drive systems, various types of computer operated control circuitry and that includes working with voltages up to 480VAC
Utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify, repair, or improve equipment functionality
Use a variety of tools such as: hand/power tools, electrical/electronic test equipment and calibration equipment
Proficient in the repair of a wide variety of equipment
Work closely with managers, other technicians and peers to maintain electronic/electrical systems on new/specialized equipment
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
A State Electrical license, technical certificate or a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals.
Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication are necessary
Ability to anticipate problems and implement appropriate preventative measures
Ability to develop new techniques for work processes
Ability to redirect to issues as they emerge and reprioritize based on current business conditions
Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task
Be organized and able to plan, prioritize and follow through on projects assigned with minimal supervision
Ability to carry out the responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and OSHA laws
Physical Requirements
Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending
