Position Summary
Provide continuity of nursing program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addictions treatment services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations
Qualifications
• A current Illinois RN license, or a current Illinois LPN license
• Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the timeframes prescribed
• Computer proficiency required
• Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record within prescribed time frames
• Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, staff or community
• CPR training or complete within three months
Responsibilities:
Work hours prescribed and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Overtime may be required.
Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimum client care
Promotes, advocates for and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the client.
Assume nursing case management responsibilities for designated clients.
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of nursing activities for assigned clients.
Adherence to Rosecrance Medication Management Plan including medication identification, procurement, storage, education, administration and monitoring.
Provides education and/or lectures on medical topics for clients, family, staff and public as necessary
Builds and maintains professional relationships with colleagues, interdisciplinary teams and outside providers.
Assess physical and medical needs of assigned clients.
Be sensitive to and act upon any medical or emotional crisis.
Document to ensure the client service record is maintained and in compliance with all applicable regulations and Rosecrance policy.
Document and follow through with all physician orders and communicate with client's personal physician as required.
Participate in Infection Control activities and maintain knowledge of current infection control techniques.
Able to demonstrate competent use of all medical equipment and technology
Maintains appropriate therapeutic and professional relationships
Participate in Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
Maintain annual certification in Healthcare provider CPR.
Serve as a member of the Nursing team and participate in all team meetings and activities.

Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes physiological, psychological and spiritual knowledge to care for a variety of patients. Provides own transportation and auto insurance and abides by all laws, rules and recommendations for safe driving while on duty.
Maintains a valid driver's license.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and execute own workload.
Must be able to use and operate medical and/or office equipment, including Point of Care devices.
Understand all steps of the nursing process and provides input at teach step in collaboration with the RN.
Expected to take night and weekend calls, and make home visits and/or work in office during the evening, night, weekend and/or holiday hours as required.

2026 Summer Intern program dates are May 18-July 24.
This intern position is part of our Clinical Recourse Team department, which function as our own regional and facility float pool nurses. This intern will have the opportunity to float between the following facility locations in our Eastern Region: Bloomington, Urbana, and Danville. Interns will be paired up with RNs who work on various units at our facilities and will be able to see what their work is like on a day to day basis. The CRT Float internship will allow students to gain a wide variety of experience and hands on skills on multiple units and facilities throughout the summer!

Must have completed a clinical rotation and is within one year of completion of their nursing program.
Ability to turn PC hardware on/off and work with a mouse; familiar with basic elements of a Windows environment and keyboarding; perform basic computer tasks with instruction; comfortable with learning new applications.
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider card- American Heart Association.
Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to comfort patients, family members and/or significant others; and to communicate effectively with other patient care providers.
Work requires analytical ability necessary to prioritize work load.
