Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field • Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC),or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC which supersedes the CADC within 2 years of employment in substance used disorder services • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to quickly establish rapport • Computer proficiency required • Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record, • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames • Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources • Self-starter with ability to work independently • Ability to work within a team • Valid driver's license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance Responsibilities: 1. Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned. 2. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members. 3. Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame. 4. Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs. 5. Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery. 6. Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients. 7. Ensure that documentation in client service record is maintained consistent with expectations defined by SUPR, TJC and Medicaid regulations. 8. Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, case management and discharge plans). 9. Assume on-call responsibilities per schedule or when designated. 10. Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups. 11. Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients. 12. Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities. 13. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law. 14. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer. 15. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of mental health services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations. Demonstrated education, training or experience in the mental health services MHP designation Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames prescribed Excellent organizational and computer skills Self-Starter with ability to work independently and with a team Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling, case management Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, families, staff or community resource Valid driver's license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements Must have own transportation Responsibilities: 1. Work hours prescribed by and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned. 2. Ability to motivate and problem solve with staff regarding effective clinical practices. 3. Ability to be self-motived, seek improved performance, problem solving while meeting the complex needs of the clients and their families. 4. Skills to adapt verbal and written communication to the language and style of the client and their family. 5. Complete all necessary documentation with in the appropriate time lines. 6. Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients. 7. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members. 8. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with regulations. 9. Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, process, and discharge plans). 10. Ability to coordinate services from a variety of community resources 11. Utilize a variety of treatment concepts, evidence based practices and service modalities when providing care. 12. Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, staff and community groups as needed. 13. Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients. 14. Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities. 15. Supervise and manage the behavior of the residents and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences for mental health and detoxing clients Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate development of independent living skills. Provide education and support to clients specific to symptoms management and coping skills. Consult with other staff members and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift. May facilitate focal group discussion sessions on co-occurring issues. Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as treatment plan reviews, shift meetings or appropriate committee meetings as designated. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations. Oversee the cleanliness of the house, resident house jobs, and the proper use of equipment and supplies. Serve as a member of the assigned team and participate in all team meetings and activities. Position Summary: This Recovery Specialist position is located in the CILA program working with adult clients in a group home setting. Recovery Specialist staff assist adult clients with daily living skills and providing hands on skills teaching for budgeting, meal planning, and meal preparation. However the days and times may vary based on the immediate needs of the site. A level of flexibility is required for this position and also an understanding that a set schedule is not always guaranteed.
