YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: The BIM Modeler III is responsible for providing modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. This is a leader of the production team, and typically the Model Manager, that is responsible for all functions of a BIM project including the drawings, model quality, and coordination files for the project. Will need to efficiently take part in and supervise modeling and documentation of the project. This role is responsible for their own production as well as the support and task-based training of other staff. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Capable of successfully performing all tasks of a BIM Modeler II Work with Family Development Team for the revised standards or for a project's needs Lead and supervise the modeling and documentation of projects. Provide effective verbal and written direction to support staff. Manage all aspects of assigned projects including project models, advising on resource needs, progress, and potential impacts on scope/schedule/budget. Create and maintain Electrical Revit model using backgrounds from other trades following all REI standards Work with a diverse team across multiple departments and disciplines Supervise the layout and input of marked‐up drawings into Revit in accordance with REI Standards Acknowledgement of any/all REI confidentially and/or non-Disclosure requirements pursuant to this position. Any identified issues shall be documented in the Issues Log to be addressed with the project team. + Distribute the completed redlines, details, prefab drawings, and assembly sheets, and notify the project team, including the location where they have been saved. + Update the Redline Drawing log as redlines, details, prefab drawings, and assembly sheets are generated and when new revisions are issued. + Populate Conduit schedule. + If BIM is required, the detailer is responsible for the following: + Assisting the project team in completing the BIM Specification Sheet and Installation Drawing Checklist. + Attending BIM coordination meetings as needed. + Following up after redlines have been distributed and addressing all model constructability issues. + Reviewing all Installation Drawings generated from the model. + Weekly time entry into JDE and saving timecards to a designated folder. + Maintain clear and consistent communication with your project team. In instances where needed, act as a mediator between engineering, project management, field operations, BIM, and Prefab departments. + Maintain proper document control by adhering to the department's folder structure and naming conventions. + Ensure that the latest CEI Installation Standards are being followed and serve as a resource for standardization whenever necessary. + Address bulletin updates and added scope. In this role you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. Duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. Services may include placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, and testing and maintenance services. Pay: $25 - Subject to CA/Reno Prevailing Wage Rates and may change depending on work location and job duties, but those can be upwards of $60-65/hr Travel: This position will be focused on a project spanning Sacramento, CA to Reno, NV. What You'll Do Responsibilities: All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment. Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools. Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling. Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery. Working in congested or remote areas. Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement. Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor. Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies. Learn all aspects of crew and assist the operator and foreman as assigned. Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites. Develop an understanding of buried utilities Lift heavy equipment and supplies What You'll Bring Qualifications: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Possess a valid driver's license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position. A good driving record is required. Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner. Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner. Class A Commercial Driver's License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders). This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This is a leader of the production team, and typically the Model Manager, that is responsible for all functions of a BIM project including the drawings, model quality, and coordination files for the project.
