The Electrician works underground at a depth of 400 - 800 feet. Temperatures vary. When working near the face the temperature is fairly constant approximately 55o to 60o. While working away from the face, the Electrician would encounter temperatures that would vary depending on above-ground conditions. Near the face and on the beltline there may be wet conditions. COGNITIVE SKILLS REQUIRED: The Electrician must possess adequate vision, hearing and speech to operate equipment in low light and to safely communicate with co-workers around moving machinery.
