Mill Machinist

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mill Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating milling machines to produce precision parts. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate milling machines to produce precision parts
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop machining strategies
Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient and accurate machining
Collaborate with CNC programmers and engineers to troubleshoot and improve processes
Maintain documentation for setups and machining operations
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in milling machine operation and setup
Proficiency with G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
Preferred:
Experience with multi-axis machining and high-precision components
Familiarity with ISO quality standards and lean manufacturing principles

Primary Function:
The primary responsibility of the CNC Swiss Machine Operator is to manufacture quality parts to the blue print specification
Responsibilities and Duties:
Minimum 2 years' experience or on the job training
Ability to read and interpret prints and supporting documents
Ability to use measuring instruments
Ability to perform simple math calculation and possess problem solving skills
Ability to make minor tool adjustments and or tool replacements.
Ability to lift bars or slugs up to 50 lbs. into machine
Understands Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing
Must have their own tools
No minimum educational requirements
Job Requirements:
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with CNC Swiss-type automatic lathes
Ability to verify part conformity using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other gauges
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to relate to team members well and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Attitude of openness to change and exhibit a desire to improve every day

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with appropriate assistance. Must be able to be on feet (not sitting) up to 95% of the time.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection may be required for certain processes. Closed-toed shoes and eye protection are required for all activity on the shop floor.

ENTRY LEVEL CNC MACHINIST Department: Manufacturing **SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE** An Entry Level CNC Machinist at Rotary Systems will never face a boring day. You will gain experience operating 2-3 jobs per day, on one of our modern CNC Mills or Lathes utilizing Fanuc controls: Mori Seiki, OKK, Kitamura, or Kiwa. Every day you will enter a shop that is clean, climate controlled, and offering every resource necessary to help you be successful. Your work at Rotary systems will be comfortable, yet challenging.
This entry level position provides a paid opportunity to obtain valuable skills and experience in a field with high demand and great earning potential. We also provide the opportunity for tuition reimbursement for technical college degree relating to Manufacturing Technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Operate CNC lathes and/or mills with guidance from a shop mentor
• Learn to interpret machining symbols and procedures
• Learn to read and interpret basic blue prints
• Maintain work area and machines in safe working conditions
• Participate in efforts for continuous improvement of processes
Qualifications:
• High degree of mechanical aptitude (are you good with your hands, mechanics, building things)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
