RMS Inc. is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist will aid with and facilitate the human resource processes at all business locations and lead site specific needs. This is an on-site position located in Tomball, Texas. The Human Resources (HR) Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, human resources information systems support, onboarding, benefits, administration, and record keeping. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The HR Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. This position is approximately a 40-45-hour position based on the needs of the business, possible weekends or weeknights based on Employee or Business needs. Understands business goals and objectives and proactively recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements that support organizational capabilities and overall effectiveness. The Field Technology Execution Specialist (FTS) will work alongside the Director of Field Technology (DFT) to plan and execute new technology offerings targeted at profitably growing RMS' business. The primary responsibility of the FTS is to own the planning and execution activities in which technology is applied. Basic cleanup of the shop facilities, blasting, solvent cleaning and painting of rotating equipment parts. General mechanical helper participating in disassembly of rotating equipment. Hard blast and bead blast parts (with proper training) Steam clean and solvent clean parts Tap and clean threaded holes, hone mating faces Apply Belzona coatings (with proper training) Prep and paint parts with approved coatings (with proper training) General shop cleanup Prep shop equipment (balance machines, lathes, mills, etc.) for painting per RMS specifications Fabrication and structural welding of fixturing and skids for shop use. Expertly use files, small grinders, etc., as needed to perform final ‘detailing' of new or repaired components. Job Description Rotating Machinery Services, Inc (RMS Inc.) is seeking a qualified Manual Machinist to work 1st shift and perform a variety of machining practices involved in turning, milling, drilling, threading operations, etc. They perform a detailed incoming inspection using micrometers and other fine measurement tools, learn to draw prints based on their findings and make recommendations on necessary critical repairs. As well rounded machinists and fabricators they are able to select and operate the proper machine shop tools to remove damaged babbitt and prepare the bearing for repair. They may also use raw materials, welding tools, flame spraying, or electrical test equipment to manufacture, alter or test components as part of the process. During the babbitting process they move the part to our custom foundry where they apply new babbitt using various casting techniques. Once the babbitt is cast, their skill at precision machining and metalworking outputs a finished bearing crafted to precise dimensions. Using non-destructive testing techniques and measurement tools they verify the quality and dimensions of their work before preparing the bearing to ship to the customer. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting. Ability and willingness to work around and use large propane / acetylene. Ability to operate small lifts, pallet jacks and other lifting equipment (training will be provided on our specific equipment, but basic skills are required beforehand). Advanced oral and written communication. Advanced math skills to calculate tolerances and dimensions. Must be able to read and understand Blueprints and G-Code. Must be familiar with basic machining practices involved in turning, milling, drilling, threading operations. Must be competent reading drawings and following instructions necessary to produce usable and saleable parts. Must be able to hold tolerances as dictated by drawings, written instructions, or industry standards. Must be proficient with the use of, the care of, and the calibration of all types of measuring devices (i.e., micrometers (OD and ID), dial calipers, dial indicators, etc.). Must possess and provide basic tools required for the execution of the position of manual machinist. Must be able to comply with all safety directives and programs established by the Company and or our customers. Work with IT, 3 rd party vendors, and customers to implement updates and systems testing to ensure portal reliability and security.
