This position will require 3-4 weeks of training during the first shift before the schedule will be completely second shift scheduling.
Responsibilities
Hiring immediately for second shift, which may include Saturdays and Sundays. Bilingual skills preferred, but not required. This is a full-time customer service position at Roto-Rooter's Chicago area Call Center. We are a 24-hour service provider, so our call center stays busy overnight.
Be the first point of contact with our customers.
Obtain key information from the customer while expressing empathy, a sense of urgency and confidence that they called the right company and we will solve their plumbing problems.
Data entry, including customer contact information and relevant details concerning their plumbing problems.
Schedule a service call based on customer's availability and convenience.
Discuss additional services and products we have available that may be helpful.
Be a trusted informational resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
Requirements
Bilingual skills are a plus!
Strong customer service focus
AS400 knowledge is preferred
Prior call center experience is helpful
Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Scope of Position:

About this role
Design, documentation, and programming of building automation systems (BASs) in compliance with project plans and specifications. Proactive communication with project stakeholders including requests for information and technical risks and opportunities. Mentorship of less experienced Application Engineers in all areas of their development.

Design complete building automation systems, including controllers, sensors, networks, and hardware.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building systems, including HVAC control methodologies.
Ability to design and program all but the most complex building automation projects.
Skilled in interpreting architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans, specifications, and contract documents to deliver optimized, compliant designs.
Proficient in creating clear, concise RFIs and communicating technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experienced in mentoring team members and providing technical guidance.
Highly organized with strong time management skills; able to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

About this role
ALC in Lisle, IL has an opportunity for an Associate Project Manager. This role is an Entry-level Project management position that works closely with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and other members of the operations team to help ensure BAS projects are delivered on time, under budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects i.e., follow project processes and provide direction to Project Team
Complete projects per the contractual requirements within budget, on-time and with a high level of customer satisfaction
Assist with managing and tracking the overall financial performance of projects i.e., project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections, and re-estimating costs of installation projects
Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders upon scope creep
Coordinate project materials; use shared resources; identify resource constraints, and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any problems
Build relationships with sub-contractors, identify issues, and take corrective action plans to remedy any matters
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years' experience in Project Management in the construction industry
Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 20lbs
Ability to be insured for driving company vehicles or personal vehicle on company behalf
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or technical field.
Experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or related field.
Experience with building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
