Responsibilities What you'll do… • Be responsible to identify, rectify, improve, and maintain the electrical components and fault conditions. • Program machinery and related equipment utilizing Siemens PLC programming, SP700 and other PLC programming software to monitor, diagnose faults, and modify equipment programs. • Manage the selection, procurement, and inventory of electrical spare parts. • Understand the applications of various sensors, flowmeters, liquid level meters, etc. • Conduct fault analysis, identify the root causes, and take measures to prevent recurrence of similar issues. • Conduct electrical training for subordinate technicians, share problem solving experience, and enhance the team's overall competence. • Maintain cycle times on equipment ensuring stands are running at or below authorized cycle time. • Support feasibility on product design changes and lead modifications and model code updates as required. • Assist team members with calibration of test stand instrumentation per schedule. • Ability to work various shifts and hours, including weekends. • Ability to travel extensively, including internationally. Stellantis is seeking an Electrical Root Cause Engineer Engineer who will be responsible for understanding the development, design, and system interaction of electrical and electronic systems within vehicles for automotive body, audio, active chassis and/or safety systems. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive technology, specification analysis, system understanding, and strong analytical skills to ensure that systems meet the defined design expectations. Work with the Validation teams in ensuring the reliability and performance of automotive systems by analyzing test results, troubleshoot, reproducing the issues, and resolve issues related to component and system performance by identifying the root cause of all issues and leading the collaboration with cross-functional teams to implementing corrective actions. The Engineer will require an in depth understanding of CAN/LIN, the extensive use of CAN/LIN testing tools (CANOE simulation), traditional electrical testing equipment (voltage testing, etc. ) in an electrical lab atmosphere to test, troubleshoot, and root cause vehicle systems on some or all test properties: Plywood Buck, Vehicle-Hardware-in-the-Loop (VHIL), subsystem Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and/or vehicles. This role requires close collaboration with feature owners, engineering, extended teams, and suppliers to develop a strong understanding of the EE functions for early identification of defects and to provide evidence of defect elimination. The Electrical VPE Salaried Bargaining Union Engineer is responsible for: Developing manufacturing processes by designing electrical test equipment, modifying equipment or test software for Stellantis assembly plants. Designing electrical testing methods for testing finished products and system capabilities. Install and verify Industrial tooling from various tooling suppliers. Diagnosing vehicle assembly, vehicle module software and tooling to root cause issues. The Role The Senior Analysis Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing one-dimensional models of electrical components, subsystems, and full vehicle architectures for 12V/48V electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle-level electrical systems and proficiency in simulation tools such as Synopsys Saber. The senior analysis engineer is also required to have experience is co-simulation and software in the loop (SiL) modeling using tools like Matlab, Simulink and Simscape. The analysis engineer needs to closely work with suppliers to get high fidelity 12V component models (e.g battery, IBS, aggregator, CCU etc). The analysis engineer will create systems model, perform simulation, interpret and present simulation results to stakeholders at critical program milestones. Analysis engineer will be required to interact cross functionally with a wide variety of engineering teams (Electrical Architects, Co-simulation teams, Validation, Calibration and Design Release Engineers) to deliver standard work, perform root cause analysis, compare analytical results to tests, identify analytical gaps and lead capability projects to close these gaps.
