Your day as a Parts Room Specialist Execute the daily activities associated with the successful flow of materials through efficient operation of the parts room. Issue Parts: Window traffic, new and rebuild carts. Includes locating requested parts in parts room, confirming part number is correct with requester, and issuing proper parts to work orders. Shipping/Receiving: Accept deliveries from local vendors, UPS, Fed Ex, LTL carriers, etc. Confirm quantities/ pricing on packing slips vs actual during PO receipt process. Label and Deliver parts to required locations. Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and prepare required documents for all shipments as needed (i.e. Labels, BOL, Customs Documents, etc.). Purchasing: Issue purchase orders, verify pricing, maintain delivery dates for Shop Supplies, MRO items and OSP as needed. Work with accounting to correct issues as needed. ERP Interface: Function as primary interface between production activities and company ERP system (X3) including: PO Receipt, Work Order Maintenance, Routing Maintenance, and Invoicing Support Maintain Accurate Inventory: Perform cycle count activity at specified intervals. Responsible for appearance and layout of parts room. JOB QUALIFICATIONS To excel as a Parts Room Specialist, candidates must possess a minimum of two years of experience with SAGE X3 or a comparable ERP system. A solid understanding of engine parts is essential, as it supports accurate parts issuance and inventory management. The ability to multi-task while maintaining keen attention to detail is crucial in managing the fast-paced demands of the parts room. Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary for effective communication and documentation. Additionally, candidates should have the capability to operate a forklift, facilitating the safe handling of materials. Maintain Accurate Inventory Perform cycle count at specified intervals. Responsible for appearance and layout of inventory storage areas. Utilize Kanban and Poka-Yoke quality tools to reduce errors and mistakes with inventory. Tag and inventory all materials. Kit components for assembly work orders. Locating requested parts in material storage areas, confirming part number is correct with requester, and issuing proper parts to work orders.
