Candy Route Sales: Sells candy vending machine placements to retail food stores, wholesale grocers, restaurants, hotels, businesses, or institutions and stocks these vendors with products. Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, hand truck and/or electric pallet jack, as appropriate.
Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business. Prepares order forms and sales contracts.Drives truck to deliver beverage product to customer's place of business in highway, rural and city street conditions in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Works without direct supervision, effectively resolves customer complaints and presents effective sales presentations.Quotes prices and credit terms and coordinates sales contracts for orders obtained.Places stock on shelves or racks and ensures venders are clean, properly labeled and fresh.Informs regular customers of new products or services.Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.Collects or picks up empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.Operates computerized inventory and invoicing system.Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.Prepares and maintains current reports of business transactions.Promotes and cultivates good customer relationships through professional, courteous, and quality service.Collects money from vendors and balances truck inventory and cash collected.Keeps assigned company vehicle clean and performs daily inspection and routine fluid, air, and oil maintenance and record keeping procedures.Wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment.Wears Company provided uniform and presents a professional image to customers and the work place.Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

- Maintain High, Wide and Deep customer relationships using the Team Play philosophy by partnering with other members of the ITU AbsorbTech team to accomplish exceptional results.
- Work in conjunction with both Service and Sales teams and Business Development teams to identify potential new customers and perform sales growth activities consistent with Growing Business Our Way by introducing new products and services to existing customers.
- Provide leads for new rental business and First Aid opportunities via the Together in Growth (TIG) program.
- Promptly respond to customer requests in conjunction with the Customer Response Center (CRC).
- Assure superior Service Recovery and, with the assistance of CRC, document the resolution in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Attain and maintain GSE Certification through timely and successful completion of AbsorbU training programs and all monthly safety training coursework.
- Provide accurate on-time GSE consistent with route sequencing to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Provide effective account management services including: communication of rental program cost history; recommended inventory adjustments; sustainability reports; end user training; installation and maintenance of signage and printed materials; and maintaining clean, orderly, professional inventory storage locations.
- Monitor inventory for appropriate loss and damaged product, and corresponding account reimbursement according to company policy and procedure.
- Ensure the accuracy and professionalism of all route documentation Customer Change Orders (CCOs).
- Actively participate in daily debriefs with RSSR, Route Manager and District Manager.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain company vehicle cleanliness.
- Operate vehicles, and perform all duties, with uncompromising commitment to workplace and public safety.
- Safely transport and deliver product up to 50 lbs. at customer facilities while following ITU AbsorbTech and customer workplace policy and procedures. This includes wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a valid drivers’ license and safe driving record free of citations, violations, and accidents.
- Maintain DOT Medical Card to drive commercial motor vehicles across state lines.
- Responsible for all company owned assets such as cell phones and material handling equipment.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A High School Diploma and 3+ years of combined sales and/or customer service experience is required.
Previous professional driving experience is preferred. Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
