Key Duties/Responsibilities
Teach scholars across multiple grade levels in a pull-out and/or push-in setting using a modified curriculum to best meet the needs of the scholars according to their IEPs
Design and implement instructional lessons that are targeted to meet the academic needs of students with exceptional needs and to meet their annual IEP goals and quarterly benchmarks
Utilize a variety of learning styles in instructional activities to ensure all students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
Consult with classroom teams, Case Manager, and Dean of Special Education to ensure Special Education compliance is always up-to-date and instructional expectations are being met
Use a data-driven approach to modify/adapt instructional plans in order to maximize student learning.
Monitor/track individualized student goals and assumes responsibility for meeting individualized student goals
Provide testing accommodations to scholars on caseloads for classroom and state-wide assessments
Work with classroom teaching teams to write quality IEPs that include current instructional data as well as meaningful goals that will help scholars achieve in and outside of the classroom
Participate in weekly professional development, Sped department meetings, meetings with Deans, and additional professional development and collaboration to improve outcomes for all our scholars
Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Strong Academic Attainment:
Create daily lesson plans that are engaging, educational and exciting for the scholars, encouraging them to want to come to school.
Teach scholars in a classroom setting, managing their work output in the classroom and behavior on a daily basis.

Utilize positive reinforcement and behavior modification to instruct scholars in socially acceptable behavior to reduce incidents.

Required:
Four-year degree and hold a current Professional Educators License (PEL).
Completed degree or course of study in a field related to the subject you will be teaching.

Position Purpose: - Under the general supervision of the Director of Diverse Learning, to provide students, parents, administrators, and other teaching staff with individually-tailored advice and consultation to overcome personal, emotional, familial, or social issues to maximize the students' learning experience. Position Description:
Under the direct supervision of the General Education classroom teacher and the Special Education teacher, the Elementary Special Education Classroom Assistant is responsible for providing direct support to a specified student with exceptional needs in a manner that supports the overall educational atmosphere of Rowe Elementary School (RES), where students have the opportunity to meet and exceed academic, behavioral, and functional expectations, including through the implementation of a scholar's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan.
Position Expectations:
Provide individual assistance and support to a specific student with identified behavioral and functional needs within the academic setting and during transitions throughout the day.
Responsible for assisting the General Education classroom teachers and the Special Education teacher in all potential instructional settings, including assisting specific scholar at recess, multi-purpose room/gymnasium, lunchroom, libraries, field trips and all other educational settings;
Responsible for guiding any independent study, enrichment work, and instruction set up by the General Education classroom teacher and the Special Education teacher;
Administer diagnostic assessments with appropriate assessment modifications indicated in this scholar's Individual Education Program.
When required, operate and care for classroom equipment for instructional purposes;
Actively support a well organized, smooth functioning learning environment where the student can take full advantage of the instructional program and available sources;
Serve as a resource person to the specialized services clinical team and IEP team;
Perform other duties as may be necessary and assigned by the classroom teacher or Special Ed Case Manager
