Summary: A trusted partner to multiple large healthcare systems and event venues, Royal Ambulance is excited to launch our paramedic ALS program. This new program seeks to recruit experienced paramedics who are customer oriented, friendly, and clinically driven. We are seeking paramedics who can not only act as sound ambulance based clinicians but also help us build and grow our ALS service line which may include expansion into Critical Care Paramedic services. This position will be heavily involved with special events.
Objective of the Position: Paramedics are accountable for responding to all assigned emergency and non-emergency calls in the most appropriate, efficient, and professional manner, providing the highest standards of patient care while maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment. The Paramedic contributes to overall patient care in the areas of patient assessment, treatment, packaging, and transport. Paramedics in this position will spend a considerable amount of their time focused on special events standby work.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):-Prompt and regular attendance at work.-Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of paramedic standards of care.-Provides basic and advanced life support to patients in accordance with County EMS Agency protocols, Royal Ambulance SOPs, and in the best interest of the patient. -Assess and treat with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment), and medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care and professionalism according to current company standards.-Must maintain neat and professional appearance at all times in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).-Maintain the ambulance and equipment in a clean, organized, and response-ready mode.-Complete all patient care reports in a timely and accurate fashion as required by Santa Clara County EMS for each response with appropriate and complete patient care documentation and billing information.-Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures provided in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Medical Operations Manual, and Code of Conduct.-Responsible for maintaining current state and county certifications.-Maintain composure and tact in stressful situations. -Must communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and through radio and telephone communications. -Must possess the ability to demonstrate compassion and a sincere dedication to patient needs, concerns and information confidentiality.-Must attend all Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses on a monthly basis.-Develop and maintain relationships with the medical community. -This includes interaction with referring and receiving physicians, hospitals, ERs, critical care units, cardiac cath labs, nurses, EMS, fire personal as well as local, regional and state authorities-Handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).-Participate in company wide events and meetings-Demonstrate and support Royal's Mission, Values and Quality Standards-Performs other such duties as may be required.

What you'll be doing:
As a CCT-RN, you will be an instrumental leader to our Critical Care Transport Team. Ideal candidates will be highly proficient in critical care/intensive care nursing and will be expected to formulate thorough plans of care in compliance with state guidelines and procedures.
You will be expected to maintain professional and technical knowledge, assuring excellent quality of care and executing necessary adjustments through collaboration with the CCT Team and Operations Leaders.
You will be equipped with the resources necessary to address any and all life-threatening situations that may occur before and during patient transport.
Teamwork is pivotal in ensuring successful patient outcomes--you will need to be highly communicative with your fellow EMTs, Dispatchers, Hospital Personnel, and Leadership in order to ensure the best outcome.
What you need to bring to the table:
Required: Must have a valid RN License and be currently licensed by the California State Board of Nursing with no violations or restrictions
Preferred
: A minimum of two (2) years of critical care, trauma experience (ER, CCU, ICU) strongly preferred
Immunizations: Hep. B, MMR, TDAP, Varicella, COVID Vaccine/TB Test within 1 year or quantiferon blood test
Must be currently certified in: CPR administered by the American Heart Association (Heartcode BLS), ACLS, PALS (post-hire)

What you'll be doing:
As a CCT-RN, you will be an instrumental leader to our Critical Care Transport Team. Ideal candidates will be highly proficient in critical care/intensive care nursing and will be expected to formulate thorough plans of care in compliance with state guidelines and procedures.
You will be expected to maintain professional and technical knowledge, assuring excellent quality of care and executing necessary adjustments through collaboration with the CCT Team and Operations Leaders.
You will be equipped with the resources necessary to address any and all life-threatening situations that may occur before and during patient transport.
Teamwork is pivotal in ensuring successful patient outcomes--you will need to be highly communicative with your fellow EMTs, Dispatchers, Hospital Personnel, and Leadership in order to ensure the best outcome.
What you need to bring to the table:
Required: Must have a valid RN License and be currently licensed by the California State Board of Nursing with no violations or restrictions. AHA certifications: CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (must be obtained before start) Minimum of two (2) years recent ICU and/or ER experience. Up-to-date immunizations (Hep B, MMR, TDAP, Varicella, COVID Vaccine, TB test within 1 year or QuantiFERON test)
Preferred
: A minimum of two (2) years of critical care,
Pre-hospital experience (EMT, Paramedic, or Flight Nurse) Trauma Certifications (PHTLS, ITLS, TNCC, TPATC) Advanced certifications: CFRN, CEN, CCRN, CCT-RN Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS)
Must be currently certified in: CPR administered by the American Heart Association (Heartcode BLS), ACLS, PALS (post-hire)
Immunizations: Hep. B, MMR, TDAP, Varicella, COVID Vaccine/TB Test within 1 year or QuantiFERON blood test

Salary/Rate Details:The base range for this position is $18.50 - $21.00 per hour. What you'll be doing:
As an EMT-B, you will function within the scope of each county's clinical and operational protocols, as well as abide by all of Royals processes, policies, quality standards and expectations of quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
Provide basic life support, including patient assessment, airway management, and use of the automatic defibrillator and assist patients dependent on the situation.
Understand, address and resolve patient/customer needs to ensure the most appropriate treatment and/or course of action
Provide support, comfort, understanding and compassionate care to your patients and their family members, who are feeling scared, anxious and vulnerable.
Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and establish priority for required emergency care and transport.
Remain calm while working in difficult and stressful situations, and stay focused while carrying out the functions of the position to the best of your ability
