Job Description
Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects spanning coast to coast. Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are looking for ConstructionSuperintendent candidates to join our Field Operations team for projects Jacksonville, FL and throughout the Southeast US. Superintendents are responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, assigned employees, and subcontractors on a project job site, to safely produce quality work, within the project requirements (i.e., RFP, plans, specifications, and proposal documents) targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Candidates local to projects will be given priority, though relocation to on-site management may be required for the Superintendent position.
Pay: $110-$150K per year

REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
College courses or degree in construction management, engineering, etc. preferred.
Five or more years work experience in a Superintendent position (e.g., scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction) on medium-sized projects is required with four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the construction industry required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. Work in the design-build industry and on large-sized projects is preferred.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; Training can be provided.
Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.
LEED GA/AP Credential desirable

Summary
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Superintendent to come join our team in Richmond, VA. The Superintendent is responsible for all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractors' work, for implementation of Safety/Zero Harm program for the job site, supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work. Shares responsibility with the project manager for developing the project budget, actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures. • Prepares, keeps current or reviews reports on progress and materials used, and performs two week ‘look a heads' to ensure proper planning and adjustment and execution of work schedules.
• Ensures that all change orders are properly executed and indicated on ‘as-built' plans.
• Conducts ‘Punch Out' process throughout and at conclusion of project.
• Mentors, trains and develops support personnel.
• Ensure all required regulatory inspections are obtained and passed in a timely manner.
• Ensures general conditions budget is met.
• Directs and ensures that all OSHA regulations and safety policies and procedures are followed and necessary safety equipment is on site; safety meetings are adequately attended by company personnel and subcontractor crews; daily site safety walks are conducted and corrective action is taken; and that good housekeeping practices are observed and maintained by company personnel and subcontractors.
• Maintains good relationships with project managers, owners, engineers, inspectors, architects, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages 1-10 subordinate supervisors and subcontractors who supervise a total of up to 100 employees on the jobsite. Is responsible for their overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all processes. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Barton Malow is looking for an experienced ConstructionSuperintendent to join our team in Charlotte, NC The Superintendent is responsible for the supervision and coordination of various Barton Malow team members and/or contractors who perform work and/or execute work in a timely fashion and in accordance with plans and specifications while ensuring a quality product for the owner.
One of the initial projects for this role will include an 87-acre medical campus with a freestanding medical office building (MOB) of approximately 62,300 SF and 3-stories to house potential programs such as: Oncology, Primary Care, Radiology, Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, Urgent Care, Women's Health, Lab, Retail Pharmacy, Foodservice, Administration, and Education space. The site will also include a new greenfield hospital building of approximately 152,000 SF and 4-stories. It's an exciting time to join this expanding team!
Responsibilities:
Assists with the development of work scopes and front-end documents for bidding to create clear and concise scopes of work, assists with bid processes, including participation in post-bid interviews and answering bidder questions, identifies potential contractors to bid based on project requirements and ability to perform intended scope.
Enforces corporate safety policies on jobsite, including pre-task safety planning and providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.
Organizes/manages day-to-day on-site field labor force.
Supervises, coordinates, and sequences contractor's work to minimize interference between various contractors on the project.
Assists PM with management of overall budget and forecasting of usage, by helping to control costs and monitoring potential changes from contractors, including time and materials.
Develop site logistics plans for the entire project with assistance to maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupants.
Requirements:
10+ years of direct supervision of projects, including trades
4-year technical/engineering degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required
Strong ability to effectively communicate with all members of the team, including contractors, architects, and owners
Ability to negotiate and professionally handle conflicts and confrontations
Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and methods, performance standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety
Market experience can include higher education, aerospace, and sports facilities, but previous healthcare construction experience is required.

Summary/Objective:
ACI's MEP Project Managers oversee all aspects of planning and implementing the delivery of our commercial construction projects, including Mechanical, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection (sprinkler), and our respective subcontractors. PM's are knowledgeable in the design and construction of MEP systems and will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications for design and constructability issues.
Essential Functions:
Build and maintain a positive relationship with internal project teams, our customers, subcontractors, and key vendors
Build positive morale on the project site
Coordinate with various internal departments such as pre-construction, sales, safety, purchasing, CAD/BIM, and fabrication shops as well as client personnel and others to: Develop and maintain a construction plan and schedule
Scope out vendor quotes and purchase equipment and material
Scope out subcontractors and issue subcontracts
Provide guidance for the fabrication schedule
Daily monitoring of key metrics daily (manpower, material/equipment deliveries, etc.) and mentors site leadership to support the timely execution and completion of the work within budget with no defects or accidents
Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets, and reports to senior management on key metrics
Create Revenue Forecasts, Schedule of Values, Cash Flow analysis, and other financial analysis
Identify changes in scope, prepares pricing, and submits potential change orders to customer
When necessary, develop recovery plans to bring a project that is experiencing issues, such as issues with safety, quality, or production back on trac

Required:
Preferred bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering OR related field, and/or 8+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must be a self-starter, be able to work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e., DMV, criminal history)
Must adhere to all company policies and procedures
Must be available to work assigned schedules

Work Environment:
May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold and dampness
May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels
May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust
May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights
Physical Demands:
While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

Demonstrated success managing field foremen, self-perform teams, and subcontractors, with a leadership style that strengthens collaboration and elevates performance.
Experience in construction management (scheduling, safety, quality control).
Background in military, government, or large commercial builds-especially Design-Build-is a major advantage.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit is a plus.
Required safety certifications (CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30, EM-385, STS) or willingness to obtain.
