This role is the "competent person" on site and provides safety direction while ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and programs with the Site Supervisor. The SSHO must build a culture of personal awareness and safety accountability. This position requires a constant presence at the assigned jobsite during all active work hours. The position requires extensive travel and a willingness to work on a demanding schedule including nights and weekends, as required, to meet project objectives.
