POSITION SUMMARY The Project Safety Professional's primary responsibility is to support the project team in the implementation of Nibbi's Environmental Health & Safety program. Some travel is required between projects. Currently, all Nibbi projects are in the SF Bay Area. This position reports to the Safety Field Operations Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead in promoting Nibbi's safety culture. Assist project teams in monitoring all safety issues and concerns, and ensure Nibbi's standards of safety are adhered to. Verify all work is performed in compliance with Nibbi's EH&S program and contract safety specifications. Independently manage multiple projects and deadlines, producing complete and accurate results on time. Support project teams in the monitoring of subcontractor safety performance. Conduct regular jobsite and work area inspections, noting safety violations and corrective actions. Thoroughly investigate all incidents (including near miss, injury, property damage, general liability) immediately and perform root cause analysis. Procure Cal/OSHA project permits for assigned projects. Ensure all safety paperwork is completed for assigned projects. Coach tradespeople, junior safety members, and project team. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist project teams in identifying hazards and implementing controls. Immediately address safety violations at jobsite(s). Assist project Superintendents to establish, implement, and monitor jobsite emergency action plans. Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to obtain and manage required safety documents, signage, and equipment for all assigned jobsites. Conduct thorough incident investigations (including near misses) and make recommendations for corrective action. Complete root cause analysis for all incidents occurring on assigned projects. Participate in jobsite subcontractor coordination meetings and jobsite safety meetings. Create daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports. Serve as liaison to medical personnel, ensuring protocols and reporting best practices are followed. We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Project Safety Manager to join our team on our NOHO Bus Rapid Transit CMGC project. This project is a multi-year project that will add bus lanes from North Hollywood to Pasadena. This widening will increase BRT lanes and capacity. It will be the largest, most impactful BRT CMGC project in Southern California. The project is currently in Pre-Construction and when construction starts, the project size will be over $250 Million Dollars. This is a great opportunity to join the team as we are doing early work packages and prior to the project breaking ground, influencing project design, staging and contribute to the success of this critical project to improve mobility ahead of the 2028 Olympics.
