RStudio company history timeline

2009

Andrie started using R in 2009 for market research statistics.

2011

In 2011, Tim worked in software development while obtaining his computer science degree.

2012

Support for Windows 2012 Server OS. Support for RAID5 with parity delays often used in HP servers.

2013

After spending many years as an RStudio user and evangelist, he joined the team in 2013.

Jen is an HR and People Analytics veteran who was first introduced to RStudio as a user in 2013.

2015

He, and Kjell Johnson, wrote the book Applied Predictive Modeling, which won the Ziegel award from the American Statistical Association, which recognizes the best book reviewed in Technometrics in 2015.

2016

Support for ReFS2+ file system (Windows 2016 Server).

2017

Since joining RStudio in 2017, she has been using her experience in research, teaching, and statistics to help customers become as successful as possible using RStudio’s toolchain.

Richard grew up in the South East of England, and moved to Wales in late 2017.

2018

She joined RStudio in 2018 as a member of the RStudio IDE team.

For this achievement, Constellation Research recognized Martin with the 2018 SuperNova Award for Digital Marketing Transformation and Sales Effectiveness Category for Disruptive Technology Leadership.

2019

Their new book, Feature Engineering and Selection, was released in 2019.

2021

Tim joined RStudio in 2021 as a software engineer and has an appetite for knowledge.

2022
