This Structural Design Engineer role focuses on the structural design and coordination of metal building systems from concept through completion. This role will be primarily responsible for responding to client requests regarding new projects, conducting or overseeing existing building projects to determine solutions to address the client's requests, oversight, and development of construction documents, including architectural/structural engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents, and construction administration, while providing technical review, mentorship, and training to designers and technicians. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with internal designers, drafters, engineers, and consultants for preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Conduct drawing, detail, and specification reviews throughout the design process.
Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with the design intent, performance with respect to the various building science and engineering principles, and for any scheduling of work issues.
Perform cursory calculations of repair and/or code upgrade.
OVERSEE: Provide oversight of technicians and specialists performing field review, including technical and directional advice. Review report of findings resulting from an onsite investigation and/or document review.
Assume full managerial responsibility for all aspects of the project: scope, schedule, design, quality, staff, and execution.
Act as Engineer of Record to sign/seal repair drawings and/or reports of findings.
COMMUNICATION: Act as a trusted advisor to Clients and prospective Clients; own and develop the Client relationship; actively partner with the Business Development team to grow client relationships.

The Junior Site/Civil Engineer will assist Project Manager with the planning and design of assigned projects that meet technical requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Work on design teams in all aspects of given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans that meet client specs and exceed client expectations
Perform quantity estimates, detailing and check calculations and develop design drawings
