Your Role at KIK
The responsibility of the Chemical Processor is to mix raw materials and turn them into ready for production product. They frequently work with reactors as well as the railcars to ensure monitoring of safe delivery and usage. They must also make to maintain the acceptable Ph levels of our tanks.
What You'll Be Doing
Perform quality checks such as titration, filter testing and water hardness testing
Perform change over process
Operating a continuous blending / batching process for bleach and ammonia products
Follow guidelines for wastewater treatment
Follow guidelines for proper disposal of all waste materials
Comply with all OSHA Hazard Materials Procedures
Complete appropriate paperwork as required
Follow all safety and GMP guidelines
Follow all policies and procedures as applicable
Carefully follow detailed procedures to complete the batching process
Perform mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, and division
Identify information and fill out all process sheets as required
Safely handle various chemicals used in the batching process
What You'll Bring
High-school diploma for GED equivalent
3+ years' experience in processing / batching manufacturing
Good communication skills [both verbal and written]
Must have a good mathematical aptitude.
Able to work overtime when required.
Must be a part of the site emergency response team
Basic Computer skills
Will be required to participate in a background check
Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products
Working with unpleasant odors and fumes
High noise levels
Consistent heavy lifting, 50lbs or greater
Flammable, combustible, and corrosive chemicals are present in working environment
High-pressure environment which is continually changing
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Must be able to wear a full-face respirator and Level A suit as necessary

High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience with chemicals or in a laboratory setting, or equivalent education and experience required.
Quality Conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity
Must be able to work safely around hazardous chemicals without adverse reactions and be capable of being fitted for and wearing a respirator during handling of toxic substances.
As a 3rd Shift Chemical Plater Processor, you will:
Perform technical tasks using process instructions
Work some overtime including weekends, as required
Be responsible for lead preparation immersion treatments, and pre-plate operations
Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks, e.g., attach anodes, change filters, etc.
Work in an acidic, basic and toxic environment
Perform general housekeeping tasks
Complete process and quality documentation
