Job Summary:
Responsible for setting up and operatingextrusion machines to produce products with specific requirements and properties. Monitor and adjust machine settings, troubleshooting issues, and ensure the quality and consistency of the output. Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning tasks on the machines and maintain accurate production records.
Responsibilities:
Performs setup and operates extruder to produce product according to quality, production, and customer requirements.
Troubleshoots equipment and other production related issues.
Detects and solves problems related to product quality, aesthetics, and/or contamination.
Adjusts machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, quantities, dimensions, and flow of materials or raw materials.
Records and maintains production data
Assists with preventive maintenance activities
Assist in training other team members
Inspects quality of equipment before production beings and continuously checks quality of the line as product is produced using required QC equipment such as but not limited to calipers, rulers (in, mm and m), and comparators.
Ensures material meets customer requirements
Completes all required paperwork and forms
Update Daily Management System at the end of each shift; provides daily communication to coworkers, maintenance, leads, and management team members.
Participants in continuous improvement activities
Completes a minimum of one safety behavior observation/near miss report each month
Position requires flexibility to include shift changes and overtime; must be able to work, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
At least 2 years of rubberextrusion experience
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Operators will lead in all aspects of operation of extrusion lines (Blown Film or Coater lines) including changeovers, machine start-up, running and shutdown.
Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, and standard operating procedures.
Organize, record, and ensure proper storage of resin.
Adjust machine specifications, pressures, and equipment for each job.
Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.
Work with and direct the extrusion assistant and other team mates to minimize job change-over and down time.
Train and direct the extrusion assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.
While also knowing and understanding the role in product safety.
Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work)
All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
Perform routine and repetitive duties to assist in set-ups, adjustments, and operations of thermoplastic extruding machinery and related equipment to form film or tubes to meet quality and production requirements.
Shift: Night
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr (plus $2 Shift Premium)
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
* Follow instructions to monitor scrap recovery control procedure.
* Provide assistance required or move and position nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as directed for proper operation.
* Monitor continuing operations for proper flow of raw and scrap material.
* Move completed work as directed and weigh and move to designated storage or other work area. Hook up vacuum pumps to rail cars and monitor operation. Procure materials and resins from receiving areas as required.
* Occasionally perform or assist in minor extruder and/or related recovery equipment, repair, or maintenance duties as instructed.
* Perform QA tasks including gauge thickness, smoothness, visual, opacity, dyne level, and any other required tests.
* Must be able to fill in as an A operator as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintains compliance with Company and plant safety policies and procedures.

I am looking for rubber press operators at a Middlefield plant. I am looking for a person that can stand at a rubber press machine for an 8 hour shift. The operator will hand load the materials into the machine and remove them once cured. The operator must be able to visually inspect the finished parts. Some parts can be small and require a delicate touch.
I am looking for people for the night shift 11pm-7am and 2nd shift, 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday.
The pay is $16 per hour with unlimited overtime.
Saturdays pay time and a half and Sundays pay double time.
The position is temp to perm after 45 calendar days.
