During the 1941, State of the Union address US President Franklin D. Roosevelt delivered his Four Freedoms speech; proposing four fundamental freedoms that people "everywhere in the world" ought to enjoy.
During a reorganization in January 1998, Caroline Ruhl acquired the residential side while the commercial side became a separately owned and operated company.
From 2010 to today, Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors has been ranked as the largest privately-owned real estate company in Iowa by RISMedia’s Power Broker Report.
In December 2013, residential and commercial operations joined forces again.
