The higher up managers were very demeaning. When they would be on the zoom calls they would mute themselves and make fun of the managers. They also knew that there were dangerous situations in the store and refused to fix.

There is not much diversity when it comes to management. Mostly white men.

Helping customers

Animals, few employees and working with the public were all reasons I loved coming to work.

The 1st day you work they decide If your going to have to work or just be friends with the manager. Favoritism and pure disrespect to certain employees. Males are a given multiple 2nd chances and almost never written up or the issues addresses. Coworkers are allowed to bully and harass other employees. It's even encouraged due to the fact so punishments are handed out. I love this place for a long time, but after months of being disrespected, ignored, unfairly punished and told I needed to toughen up.

The health insurance is amazing and saved me when I almost died from covid.

The animals, some employees. Very flexible

The pay was bad, I worked there for 4 years mostly seasonal as a student but was a good employee and only got a 50 cent raise. My male counterparts working the same amount had many raises. Managers at the store were only making 13 bucks. There were workers there that had multiple complaints of sexual harassment that was just swept under the rug. Women, do not work for Runnings you are not going to be supported.

Working with the chicks. But so many died because they were shipped so far, no medicine or help if one got sick.
