Responsibilities:
+ Check in all daily incoming shipments for all vendors by comparing actual count to packing slip.
+ Post all incoming packing slip into the computer. Follow all company procedures for shortages or damaged parts.
+ Process all incoming stock orders within 24 hours.
+ Put away all incoming stock in the appropriate bin location as indicated in the computer. Ensure that all parts put into stock are properly labeled with a barcode bin label.
+ Locate all new parts posted into stock determine the correct location and make changes in the computer along with labeling new parts.
+ Check in all incoming interbranch shipments from all branches by comparing actual count to the packing slip.
+ Process all inter-branch packing slips into the computer. Generate a picking list and places parts in the appropriate area for delivery of shipment.
+ Dispose of any packing material not needed after each shipment is checked in.
+ Pull all customer orders as indicated on the picking list and place in either will call, package for shipment, or dispatch for delivery.
+ Keep the parts warehouse clean and organized. Follow all corporate safety guidelines and policy.
+ Maintain all parts in "will call" by ensuring that all parts pulled are placed in the appropriate "will call" bin and all paperwork associated with the order is placed with the parts.
+ Maintain all junk core inventory by ensuring that all cores are checked in and tagged with the customer information, original invoice number and credit memo number. Place all junk cores in the assigned area and returns weekly. Ship or dispatch delivery of all cores to respective vendors.
+ Dispatch parts drivers to addresses indicated on the sales invoice or purchase order.
+ Must be able to read a map and develop specific driving directions and instructions to be provided to each driver as needed.
+ Process and maintain all returns by properly putting up all parts being returned from customers. Ensure that parts are in new re-saleable condition.
+ Must file freight claims for any shortages or damaged parts received within 24 hours of receipt.
+ May be required to serve as backup to Parts Driver in the event of absence or emergency delivery.
+ Pull returns to go back to vendor. Properly package and process for shipping out.

The Vehicle Modification Technician 3 is responsible to perform inspection, layout, fabrication and/or installation of new/modified Class 2-8 truck components. Duties may also include but are not limited to reconditioning and/or modification of components for current or revised applications, documentation for and/or following manuals and process documents; creation and updating of bills of materials and feedback to operations and engineering. This role is to provide seamless support with training the employees on the specialized work being completed including inspection, layout, fabrication and/or installation of new/modified Class 2-8 truck components for the assigned branch.

Responsibilities:
* Provides training and experience in the installation/modification, repair and inspection of Class 2-8 trucks to include chassis, engine and driveline, axles, steering, cooling system, cab, body and mounting; understanding of reasons for torque settings.
* Provides training and experience in the installation, repair and inspection of vehicle hydraulic pumps, motors and piping to include installation and testing of wet kits.
* Provides training and experience in the installation, repair and inspection of vehicle compressed air systems to include vehicle braking; related fail-safe systems and proper installation of lines and reservoirs.
* Provides training and experience in the vehicle control, starting, charging, and lighting systems and circuits. Background knowledge permits learning to perform chassis, brake, engine and drivetrain diagnostics.
* Fits and installs steel and aluminum panels, accessories and fenders using shears, snips, cutoff tools, rivets and fasteners with minimal guidance.
* Installation of compressed natural gas fuel systems.
* Supports the preparation process to welding by others.
Education and/or Experience
* High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred.
* 2 years' of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
* Texas Railroad Commission CNG certification preferred.
* Valid Commercial Drivers License preferred.
* Must be insurable.
Other Skills and Abilities Required
* Ability to follow instructions and/or prints and avoid deviations or other undocumented variations to the design.
* Document work performed in an accurate and timely manner.
* Demonstrate high level of proficiency and cost effectiveness in completion of work product in order to minimize re-work and time delays in final projects being provided to customers and dealerships.
* Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
* Must demonstrate positive corporate citizenship and the Rush Driving Principles.

Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) overall GPA.
Junior or Senior classification preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders.

The Data Integration team is responsible for extracting data from various sources, transforming the data as required, and loading it to various targets (ETL.) This team develops, maintains and supports the Enterprise Data Warehouse system, corresponding data marks and data interfaces between operational systems. Interns will get hands-on learning and will analyze and will provide support for the team by working with documentation to structure processes and data for accuracy, efficiency, and maintainability.
Contribute to the evaluation, research, experimentation efforts with batch and streaming data engineering technologies in a lab to keep pace with industry innovation
Work with data engineering related groups to inform on and showcase capabilities of emerging technologies and to enable the adoption of these new technologies and associated techniques
Contribute to the definition and refinement of processes and procedures for the data engineering practice
Work closely with data scientists, data architects, ETL developers, other IT counterparts, and business partners to identify, capture, collect, and format data from the external sources, internal systems and the data warehouse to extract features of interest
Code, test, deploy, monitor, document and troubleshoot data engineering processing and associated automation
