**Responsibilities**
+ Use a Gas Metal Arc and Metal Core Arc welding process to weld parts to print specifications.
+ Inspect parts per print specifications.
+ Set up and adjust welder and fixtures to print specifications.
+ Use a carbon arc air gouging and cutting process for rework.
+ Use hand grinders to fit parts, rework defective welds, and grind welds flush as needed.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, understand weld symbols, basic math, reason and analyze.
+ Previous welding experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will have experience in precision TIG welding, working with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, chromoly, etc. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict quality standards, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications. This position may involve relocation to Eagan, MN.
The TIG welder is responsible for the following:
The proper fabrication and welding of customer parts and assemblies as requested.
High Variety, low volume part work.
No less than 90% of completed parts to successfully pass inspection process.
Work collaboratively with engineers, quality inspectors, and production teams.
Offer viable semi-annual process improvement initiatives.
Follow all safety policies and guidelines.
Complete all necessary documentation for proper tracking of work.
Follow aerospace industry standards (e.g., AWS D17.1, AS9100, NADCAP).
General shop housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Successful completion of accredited welding course or equivalent on the job training and 5-10 years high level TIG welding experience
Willing and able to follow both verbal and written work instructions.
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing job duties.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in fractions as well as decimals.
To be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

The Welder is responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at EFW facilities. They will operate appropriate equipment to assemble pieces of metal together or repair damages using heavy machinery that emits high heat and melting the metal into shape. The welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions and have knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
