The Opportunity
EDC is seeking a traveling Superintendent to work on a wide scope of jobs around the United States. Superintendents oversee all phases of construction at the job site to ensure flawless execution within budget, schedule, and quality standards. This position will work closely with a project team that includes a Project Manager and Project Coordinator. Travel is required.
What You'll Do
Provide daily supervision including on-site safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality assurance.
Conduct safety meetings and assume responsibility for overall site safety by ensuring all personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
Communicate and document project progress with the project team and clients regularly.
Manage subcontractors' workmanship and construction site organization.
Write and document daily progress on Procore.
Read, have an in-depth understanding, and enforce project plans.
Coordinate inspections.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive 3-5 week look ahead schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Expect from You
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
5+ years of experience working on out-of-the-ground projects, mixed-use, multi-family, retail, theatres, shopping centers, grocery, multi-story self-storage, etc.
Computer skills, Procore knowledge, and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs.
Strong ability to demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well both verbally and written.
Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to: standing and walking for extended periods of time on various terrains, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.

Proficiency with project documents, schedules, and construction technology.
Ability to travel throughout the Gulf Coast region as needed.
