This role involves regular travel (bi-weekly) to multiple locations, including overnight stays, and is crucial to maintaining accurate, real-time inventory data, supporting automation initiatives, and serving as a liaison for customer-owned inventory stored on-site. If you meet the requirements below and have interest in this position lets set up a time to discuss. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage physical inventory. Conduct regular (bi-weekly) site visits; travel required, including some overnight stays. Ensure accurate and timely inventory reporting and reconciliation. Work with operations teams to implement barcode-based inventory tracking systems. Assist in the development and implementation of automated inventory and manufacturing systems. Act as the primary point of contact for customers with inventory stored. Collaborate with production and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and manage stock levels. Monitor inventory control procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Analyze inventory data and generate reports for management and finance teams. Provide input into process improvements related to supply chain and warehouse management. Assist in inventory valuation and reporting for financial statements. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. CPA preferred. Experience: 3+ years in inventory management or accounting, in a timber / sawmill / lumber / forestry manufacturing type environment. Experience with barcode-based inventory tracking systems. Familiarity with manufacturing automation and inventory software. Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Acumatica). Comfortable working in both office and outdoor environments. Other: Ability and willingness to travel bi-weekly to sites, with occasional overnight stays. Physically able to navigate active plant type environments and work in varying weather conditions.
