POSITION SUMMARY: Guards, patrols, or monitors premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
+ Assist the department as a CPR/FA/AED instructor.
+ Assist with quarterly loss prevention and safety inspections.
+ Assist coaching of Security Officers and takes a lead role in the department.
+ Demonstrates good working knowledge of State and local safety and shoplifting laws.
+ Ensures adequate Security coverage at various locations in line with departmental expectation.
+ Evaluates physical security needs for all Goodwill facilities. Communicates suggested improvement ideas to the Safety and Asset Protection Manager.
+ Assist with emergency situations, First Aid, CPR and AED.
+ Demonstrates and adheres to working knowledge a Community Emergency Response Team Certification. Is an essential member of Goodwill's Emergency Response Team.
+ Assists in the training of new Security Officers in company standards. Security policies and procedures.
+ Helps promote health, safety and liability awareness. Acts as a safety leader.
+ Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensures security of doors, windows, and gates.
+ Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
+ Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
+ Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
+ Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
+ Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
+ Checks all vehicles and donation center doors, lift gates and
