Job Overview:
A clinical documentation specialist (CDS) reviews a patient's medical records to ensure documentation is accurate as well as up-to-date with the latest information on a patient's illness. They also record the details of every step-in clinical treatment. A CDS must have familiarity with the codes involved with medical records, each of which is used to indicate some aspect of the patient's medical information, condition and the treatment received. Essential Functions:

The Data Integrity Specialist provides direct and indirect support to management team by analyzing key performance indicators, track and trend data to identify issues. The Data Integrity Specialist will utilize revenue cycle reports to analyze data, research root causes and assist in the development of action plans to improve processes and eliminate the loss of revenue. The role will play a key part in driving the success of the Revenue Cycle KPIs by utilizing data to identify and resolve issues within the Patient Access and overall Revenue Cycle Operations. The Specialist will be a key player in creating action plans to improve processes related to the Revenue Cycle KPIs, will be responsible for creating reports to display their findings as well as tracking results of improvement plans.

* Creates monthly statistical analyses which supports the department performance improvement initiatives
* Prepares, creates and develops reports to support organizational initiatives such as, Revenue Cycle Committee and Denials Task Force and clinical trials
* Manages the distribution of the reports and validates the accuracy and reliability of the data being presented

Job Title: Medical Transcriptionist Department Name: Lab RWJSH Status: Hourly Shift: Day Pay Range: $19.84 - $23.85 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview: Performs all the functions of a Pathology Transcriptionist including proofreading reports, answering calls, filing reports and slides, scanning and faxing, entering medical information into the computer system, editing, printing, sorting, and answering calls,
Follows up with inquiries from medical staff and reference labs in a prompt and courteous manner,
Performs other clerical and typing duties as required,
Behaves in a manner to promote a professional team-oriented work environment and maintains a neat personal and physical environment in the work area,
Participates in the quality improvement process,
Qualifications:
* High School completion or GED required,
* Knowledge of medical terminology,
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications,
* Must have good communication skills,
* Prior experience in Anatomic Pathology preferred
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:
* Part time, day shift
* Monday through Friday
Essential Functions:
* Proof-Read Pathology reports, and enter Diagnosis with ICD Codes if needed
* Print Pathology reports and pull slides for conferences
* Prepare Anatomic Pathology Specimen Requests for send out
* Accept Legal requests and process
* Maintain printer, place work orders as needed
* Handle requests from outside labs for pathology and cytology
* Maintains records of slides & materials referred and returned to ensure continuity of material and information,
* Retrieve slides, photocopy, and package for send out,
* At end of month, create summary of send-out requests,
* Review past cases for unreturned blocks, slides, and follow-up,
* Work with pathologists on requests for Outside Consultations and include insurance information with the request,
* Receive requests from outside hospitals and reference labs and scan reports into Epic,
* Process faxed requests for additional testing
* Arrange courier transportation for specimen pick-ups and supply deliveries,
* Prepare packages for send out by UPS and FedEx,
* Answer phone calls professionally and assist caller with requests,
* Perform additional tasks as needed related to the department s workflow
