    Regional Safety Manager This is a corporate Regional Safety Manager position, reporting to the Safety Director with safety needs for all offices and project work across the Midwest. This individual should have leadership skills and a proven ability to coordinate safety policies/procedures and provide technical safety advice in accordance with applicable OSHA regulations and company policies. The candidate should be able to influence a positive safety culture through a forward-thinking mentality. We are seeking a dedicated candidate who is committed to long-term employment with the company to establish effective relationships, build trust among the organization, and positively influence the organization's safety culture working toward a best-in-class safety program. This role will primarily be responsible for the below tasks which will require regional travel with occasional overnight stays required during visits to job site locations and branch offices. Key Responsibilities * Assist with administration of the company safety orientation program, including development, delivery, and continuous improvement. * Review Site Specific Safety Plans and provide feedback regarding improvements specific to hazardous scenarios. * The Regional Safety Manager will provide insight and recommendations to the Safety Director for improvement to the company safety program. * Meetings include Morning Huddles, participation with company toolbox talk meeting program, and general safety planning meetings. * Assist the Safety Director with providing industry-specific safety training as needed to employees including MEWP and Powered Industrial Truck training. * Review leading and lagging indicators with the Safety Director to focus on improving company safety performance. * Lead incident investigations including root cause analysis investigation and completion of incident reports. * Attend Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Meetings. * Conduct regular safety observations of jobsites. * Complete site safety audits of all activities and provide appropriate feedback via an audit report which includes coaching employees while onsite. * Attend toolbox safety talks and evaluate for effectiveness of the communicated message. Provide feedback and coaching to employees on related safety topics. * Assist the Safety Director with compiling safety metrics data. * Ensure accurate field safety observation documentation is maintained. * Encourage a positive and proactive environment which promotes the overall safety culture of the company. * Provide assigned reports from the Safety Director for inclusion in safety performance measures. Qualifications: * Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Safety or other related field (preferred but not required) * Preferred Experience: 5+ years professional experience in a construction or operations role that includes oversight of safety in relation to both the 1910 and 1926 OSHA standards (preferred but not required). All candidates regardless of educational background or professional experience will be considered. * Preferred Certifications: OSHA Construction Industry 30 HR, OSHA 510/500 Certification, First Aid/CPR or other safety certifications that may support success within the role. * Required Knowledge: Ability to learn and apply in practice, relevant information from all codes, standards, regulations, Federal and State laws, and all other applicable regulatory documents. A minimum of 1-2 years of construction safety experience preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Skills/Abilities: * Responsibility - Responds promptly to company needs; Solicits company feedback to improve performance; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments * Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Writes clearly and informatively; able to read and interpret written information.
