Ryder is an international company with lots of growth opportunities.
There are no cons in my book. I love Ryder.
I get a great bonus and mad benefits and discounts on just about anything we are hauling.
If you start their young, you can rise to C level over time.
If you start later in career you'll never advance farther than a few steps. They want to only support those that spent their whole career there with few exceptions.
Stable company but still lays off people even in a good financial position just in case the market goes down.
CEO makes sound decisions and trusts his team.
The dog whistles of racism are highly prevalent in many many areas. They closed their DEI c suite position and opened one at a lower level that has very little affect on hiring practices. They hire white and light. They tolerate Latino since HQ is in Miami but most managers are racist white males.
Learn about the history and product lines.
Rey low and with 3% increases the pay only gets better for those who leave and come back.
Mostly comprised of white males there is little diversity in leadership roles at Ryder. Each area will have a few women or people of color but there are some areas that haven't had a women in 10 years, or never promoted a black man. Leadership pretends not to notice.
Most people will say the people because that's all they know is one company they always worked at. The real difference is they will let their people try out new roles say from marketing move to finance or collections to sales.
Room for advancement and decent salary/ benefits
Senior/ Executives don't care about you whether new or tenured.
Bonus

More emphasis should be placed on individual contributions.

What I like about working at Ryder is getting Job Satisfaction.
What I don't like about working at Ryder is there Management and Pay.
My favorite perk about working at Ryder is there Health Insurance.
it was a basic common go out do your job and come back in as safe as possible, replace everything as it was log out, return the next night too do it all over again.
having to come in behind another person and correct there mistakes over and over and made to look like the bad guy who wasn't doing my job instead, totally not true.
I liked working nights cause it's a lot less distractions and traffic as well, the benefit well i guest you could say it's better to have and not need than to need and not have.
Down-to-earth people who work there.
No perks or incentives. No training or development for HR professionals. Can't even use corporate credit card.
None
Communication, environment, cooperation
New VP closed division - Ryder Fleet Products, Inc.
Able to grow in abilities and responsibilities
Work life balance and the people that I work with. Ryder is a great company for which to work.
Unfortunately, I don't like the pay offered for the work that is being done.
Benefits are pretty coo.
Time off was good
Management human resources benefits of horrible pay and very low for the industry and they do not care about their employees at all
As soon as you hire underwriter you get two weeks of vacation time five sick days and two floating holidays that's the best thing that they can offer
The benefits are pretty good
Pay is not enough for me personally
Benefits are pretty solid
Good benefits and a good work atmosphere
Not enough pay for me personally
Health benefits
