What You Will Do As an experienced Truck Upfitter/ Equipment Installer, you will deliver outstanding products to customers who have trusted our brands for decades. You will install various types of truck bodies, Mobile Power Systems , lighting packages, graphics, and other equipment to complete new custom builds for the work truck industry. Education & Experience Required Vocational Training and 3+ years relative experience required; or GED with 3+ years in related field (does not require a university degree). Experience in automotive repair or vehicle upfitting is a plus. Must be able to read and interpret prints, electrical schematics and work orders Must be able to perform good mechanical and electrical assembly including troubleshooting any related issues. Must understand the use of all production equipment. Must be familiar with and understand all procedures and specifications relating to assembly, testing. This includes Process Control, Inspection and Testing, Inspection and Test Status, Must have the ability to lift up to 60 pounds; bend and lift containers. Must have the ability to operate cranes and fork trucks safely and responsibly. Must have the ability to properly adjust Volts/WFS, and weld with a MIG welder. Role qualifications: • Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives. • Focus on design and development. Position responsibilities: • Component and/or schematic drawing creation. • Assist in creating and assembling Service Manuals. • Revising and updating of drawings. • Provide technical assistance to Estimating, Sales, Production and Service as required. • Provide assistance to other departments (Service, Shop, etc.) as required. • Work well with Machine Builders/Electricians, Management, and support functions.
