Entry-level classification normally requiring a four-year degree and a working knowledge of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepares basic design sketches and performs calculations in support of broader design activities involving the design of equipment, components, structures, or systems.
* Conducts field trips to existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information.
* Gathers data to help prepare equipment specifications, inquiry and purchase requisitions for approval.
* Evaluates vendors' bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications for simple equipment.
* Participates in the preparation of equipment lists and load summaries.
* Participates in preparation of design guides, guide specifications and contract proposals.
* Participates in plant start-ups and field assignments as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before clients or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasionally may conduct or participate in a field trip to an operating plant or construction site. This requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal work environment will be a business office with moderate noise. Occasionally, may visit or be temporarily assigned to work in an operating plant or at an construction site. This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, work near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals and airborne particles.

Summary:

* Reviews Aged Debtors Report(s) and assists in the development of corrective action plans; follows up on outstanding debtors with Project Managers/Project Accountants and clients.

Description: Senior Project Engineer
C&I is looking to hire a Senior Project Engineer to help with our work on the ground and in the field! This individual will plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the progress of our work. The Project Engineer is the primary contact for engineering-related issues on the project and is responsible for coordinating engineering efforts with Project Management, Project Controls, Procurement, Construction, and Clients they work on highly technical projects! C&I Engineering is a design and consulting firm operating in the industries of oil & gas, food & beverage, distilled spirits, and renewables.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:
Coordination of information and design efforts of multi-discipline project teams.
Integrate discipline plans into a plan of execution.
Interpret construction drawings, technical directions, codes, and design standards.
Facilitate various types of project meetings.
Create, understand, and coordinate cost estimates and execute engineering schedules.
Delegate tasks related to the projects effectively.
Leads the organizing, planning, controlling, and monitoring of progress for the engineering efforts on the project.
Ensures project procedures for engineering are established, documented, and known to all discipline leads.
The Senior Project Engineer monitors the project scope, budget, and schedule.
Contact clients independently to gather information and resolve issues,
Identifies work opportunities with existing clients.
Ensures company policy and standards are followed on projects.
Minimal Requirements:
4-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
10 years of related work experience preparing construction documents in a multi-discipline engineering environment.
PE license preferred.
PMP certification is a plus.
Desirable Qualities:
Able to identify opportunities to create/improve relationships with clients and project team members.
Strong Interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to travel to job sites. This role can require up to 25% travel.
