Sr. Field Service Representative - Radiology - (Greenville - Columbia, SC) Sr. Field Service Representative - Radiology - (Greenville - Columbia, SC) PURPOSE The primary purpose of the position is to provide direct on-site emergency service, preventive maintenance and installation support to end user customers while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The position is also responsible for assisting in reaching Service Zone Revenue targets with work group sales responsibilities ranging from 1 to 2 MM dollars and to communicate product sales opportunities to Sales and Applications team's members as needed. Willingness to acquire and use sales skills is a must. Difficulties include extensive travel (50000 to 75000 driving miles per year), working with contaminated products, exposure to X-rays and Magnetic fields, sick patients and the need to lift heavy equipment (over 50lbs). Typical work week approaches 50 hrs and on-call duty as needed by Zone Service manager. The span of coverage will be Greenville - Columbia, SC Metro area. Travel up to 75% within the territory. The candidate is preferred to reside in the Greenville, SC metro area as that is the center of the territory. The Candidate must be domiciled within the territory. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installation at end user customer sites using approved Bayer documentation; Schedule and organize own work activities, ensure efficient operations; Organize and re-order inventory valued at $20K to ensure quality work and low incident of defective or incomplete on-site customer visits; Responsible for proper return of all defective inventory for replenishment; Price service calls, offering discounts or converting to full contracts when needed; Prepare and develop sales quotes and follows through to close the sale; Call end-user customers, purchasing agents and Bayer dealers to finalize and ask for the order; Interfaces heavily with Service Admin/MSRC billing processors to ensure proper & timely invoicing. Your role As a Field Service Technician at Leybold, you will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and service vacuum pumps and related equipment (mechanical and electrical) across a designated territory. This remote role is customer-facing and revenue-generating, with a strong focus on aftermarket sales, technical support, and relationship building. Principal Duties/Responsibilities: · Inspects, measures, troubleshoots, and repairs complex failures associated with Tool and Die. · Develops and writes concise technical documents, including set-up procedures, PM procedures, and troubleshooting procedures. · Heat-treats tools or parts. · Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining. · Smoothes flat and contoured surfaces, using scrapers, abrasive stones, and power grinders, and fits and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms, using hand tools. · Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances, using measuring instruments, such as dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and micrometers. Reporting directly to the Service Manager in the US, this position will manage technical issues, maintain customer satisfaction, provide monthly maintenance support, promote value add-on services and provide training support. Business travel will be a requirement for this position. Responsibilities Provide key objective management (proper machinery installation, proper accessory management and proper understanding of service data) Optimize work order organization, safe tool use and customer data reporting. Demonstrate understanding of expense reimbursement documentation and customer service evaluations Partner with internal Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service and R&D teams to support stakeholder objectives On-time completion of equipment installation, commission and maintenance tasks while following the company's strict safety and quality guidelines Analyze and find root cause of maintenance impediments, debug system errors and propose system improvements. Participate and prepare company held trainings regarding technical process, company regulation and technician job duties. Conduct customer visits monthly for routine service maintenance while promoting related value add-on services. Provide one-to-one training and guidance for new hired service team members. Responsibilities: Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time heavy equipment shop service technician / mechanic for our Tampa, FL location.
