The FieldServices Engineering team is critical to supporting our customers by installing, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment to maintain electrical power services globally. S&C provides solutions for customers worldwide.
S&C Electric Co. has launched a training program to provide customized training for FieldServiceTechnicians.
Intro to Power Distribution Systems (There are basic concepts and terminology commonly used in power distribution systems, both internally by S&C and by our customers) 120Hrs. max
Power Systems & Devices (The goal is to gain a basic familiarity with each device before gaining hands-on experience or working in the field. 80 Hrs max
Maintenance, Installation, & Repair (Participation in workshops, application of knowledge learned, partnering with FieldService Engineering team to practice and exhibit skilled learned to prepare for work in the field. 200hrs max
S&C DOD Skillbridge Criteria
Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember
Must be transitioning in 180 days or less
Must be able to complete a minimum of 60 days of on the job training
Job Title:
Upon completion of the FieldServiceTechnician training courses, this SkillBridge training program will prepare the Service member to become a FieldServiceTechnician.
Compensation
Service member will continue to receive salary/benefits from military during training program.
Cost of Program
There is no cost to service member. Reimbursement for room and board during program.
Length of Training:
FieldServiceTechnician is a 400-hour, 10-week training program, minimum 30 sessions. 200 hours in class instruction. 200 hours of hands-on instruction. Meeting five days a week for 8-hour training sessions daily.

SUMMARY: We are looking for an addition to our Maintenance Team that has a background in electronics troubleshooting
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties to include but not limited to installation, set up programming, trouble shooting and repair of machinery, instruments, controls and related equipment.
Individual will demonstrate advanced electrical trouble shooting skills, a through working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the ability to install and maintain electrical systems.
Work from sketches, equipment manuals, basic designs, specifications and verbal instructions.
Continue to keep abreast of new developments through study, schooling, etc. as necessary.
Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations.
Assist other maintenance personnel as well. Will assist in training when needed. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Knowledge of computer operation and related software required.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Operate fork lift truck (will be licensed in accordance with OSHA power industrial truck operator requirements.) Trained in the National Electric Code.

PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the position is to provide direct on-site emergency service, preventive maintenance and installation support to end user customers while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The position is also responsible for assisting in reaching Service Zone Revenue targets with work group sales responsibilities ranging from 1 to 2 MM dollars and to communicate product sales opportunities to Sales and Applications team's members as needed. Willingness to acquire and use sales skills is a must. Difficulties include extensive travel (50000 to 75000 driving miles per year), working with contaminated products, exposure to X-rays and Magnetic fields, sick patients and the need to lift heavy equipment (over 50lbs). Typical work week approaches 50 hrs and on-call duty as needed by Zone Service manager.
The span of coverage will be Greenville - Columbia, SC Metro area. Travel up to 75% within the territory. The candidate is preferred to reside in the Greenville, SC metro area as that is the center of the territory. The Candidate must be domiciled within the territory.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installation at end user customer sites using approved Bayer documentation;
Schedule and organize own work activities, ensure efficient operations;
Organize and re-order inventory valued at $20K to ensure quality work and low incident of defective or incomplete on-site customer visits;
Responsible for proper return of all defective inventory for replenishment;
Price service calls, offering discounts or converting to full contracts when needed;
Prepare and develop sales quotes and follows through to close the sale;
Call end-user customers, purchasing agents and Bayer dealers to finalize and ask for the order;
Interfaces heavily with Service Admin/MSRC billing processors to ensure proper & timely invoicing. Responsible to assist in collection activities in given territory;
In some cases, generates customer interest and communicates to Service Marketing Rep.;
Generates and communicates sales leads to respective sales rep for new product or disposable opportunities;
Maintain company car and tools in good working order valued at $35- $45K. Ensure oil changes, tire rotation, etc.;
Ensure all proprietary info is safe guarded from non-Bayer personnel, includes: Service & Training Manuals, Diagnostic and Calibration software, BIT keys etc.;
Assisting in on the job training and mentoring for new hires;
Serve as a role model example to new hires for delivering 100% customer satisfaction, technical excellence, & outstanding financial results;
Utilized to help resolve difficult/intermittent technical problems;
Relied upon to be zone champion for new product launch support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree in Electronics, IT Networking, Computer Science or relevant discipline required with 4 years of applicable experience or Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline with 2 years of applicable experience.
Equivalent Military Experience/ Training in areas such as Electronics, Aviation, IT, Computer Science or relevant training with 4 years of applicable experience can be considered in lieu of degree;
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics with strong technical trade skills in areas such as, soldering, electrical installation and troubleshooting;
Demonstrated success in promoting fieldservice programs, with past record of achieving sales/service objectives;
Proficiency with departmental tools such as, ServiceMax, SalesForce and CRM systems;

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $68,764.00 to $103,146.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.

Generator ServiceTechnicians are responsible for performing both shop and/or field repairs, maintenance service and troubleshooting of diesel and gas generators, including automatic transfer switches, batteries, and load banks. *Hired candidates may be eligible for a Signing Bonus based on skill level and certifications.
Essential Job Functions
Perform technical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of generators
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends, and holidays as directed
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of generators
Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, universal generator literature, and work orders to perform required maintenance and/or repairs
Perform basic mathematical calculations
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly shop work areas, company vehicles, and job site work areas
Drive company vehicle to and from job sites throughout the day. Overnight travel by land and/or air may be required on occasion
Additional Job Functions
May perform work requiring the use of welding tools, winch, pulley, hoist and/or pallet jack
May be required to tow a trailer, portable generator, or load bank using Company vehicle

About the Role
The Service Engineer position is the primary point of contact responsible for training, installation and maintenance of all HSG tech machinery in our Chicago showcase space and equipment purchased by HSG Tech customers in the US region.
