Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $85,580- $113,451.8. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Electrical and Mechanical Laboratories? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Electrical and Mechanical Labs team. As a Test Engineer II, you'll be crucial in ensuring continued innovation and supporting our diverse team.
The Test Engineer II is responsible for designing, planning, and executing tests on switchgear products and/or their components to evaluate their performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing test procedures, analyzing test data, and providing insights to support product development and quality improvement efforts. The role involves leading small and medium scale projects to improve test capabilities, and to maintain the lab's facilities and processes. The Test Engineer III will report to Senior Manager - NJC Laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with design engineering teams to understand test requirements and develop test methods based on customer requirements.
• Direct lab personnel during the setup and execution of tests.
• Set up and operate testing equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conduct a range of tests, including short-circuit tests, dielectric tests, partial discharge tests, impulse tests, insulation resistance tests, and power frequency tests, in accordance with requirements provided in industry standards and S&C's internal standards.
• Accurately collect test data and measurements during testing. Analyze and interpret test results using statistical methods and engineering tools to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven recommendations.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing. Apply standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems. Collaborate with the other teams to develop solutions and improvements.
• Prepare detailed test reports, including methodology, results, and analysis. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality management systems.
• Support maintenance of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in testing.
• Create and maintain drawings and documentation related to the lab's processes, including but not limited to test reports, specifications, and user manuals.
• Train S&C team members on the lab's processes, equipment and test methods to ensure that the lab has the relevant skills needed to meet testing demand and operate efficiently.
• Design, develop and implement new laboratory instrumentation and control systems. Specify and recommend the purchase of new test equipment and software.
• Identify opportunities to enhance test methodology, equipment and processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the lab.
• Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience in electrical testing, or a related field.
Sound understanding of electrical engineering principles, high-voltage testing methods, and safety practices.
Proficient in data analysis and statistical evaluation methods, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Sound programming skills with languages like Visual Basic, MATLAB, and LabVIEW for test automation and data analysis.
Great verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Meticulous approach to testing, data collection, and documentation to ensure accuracy and precision.

Qualifications
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Combination of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in leadership and participation or completion of leadership program preferred. Ability to lead a team environment a must.
Previous paint mixing experience preferred. Normally acquired through three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
Strong understanding of production and quality processes required.

POSITION SUMMARY
This role serves as the on-site Airbus U.S. representative at a customer facility, acting as the primary interface between Airbus U.S. and the client. The position requires close collaboration with Airbus U.S. engineers, project managers, and operations personnel who are based remotely. Additionally, the role includes coordinating the activities of Airbus U.S. engineers and technicians visiting the customer site for specific tasks or engagements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform initial diagnostics and troubleshooting of flight hardware and ground support equipment (GSE).
Coordinate and manage the technical contributions of visiting Airbus U.S. personnel during onsite operations.
Act as a communication bridge between the customer and remote Airbus U.S. engineering and operations teams.
Develop and implement detailed test strategies, including test plans and validation procedures.
Conduct system integration tests, performance evaluations, and security assessments.
Partner with engineering teams to interpret system requirements and develop effective testing methodologies.
Document test results meticulously, highlighting anomalies or defects encountered.
Assist in analyzing and resolving issues identified during testing phases.
Deliver regular progress updates and testing reports to key stakeholders.
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience.
Experience:
Prior experience functioning in a contractor role within the aerospace or defense industry is required.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Proficiency with various I&T engineering tools and processes
Familiarity with spacecraft qualification and acceptance testing
Familiarity with elements of space mission architectures extending beyond the satellite platform - including launch, flight operations, mission CONOPS, user interfaces, etc.
