S&H Express got its start in 1992 when Steve Shellenberger purchased a small, local trucking company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Shellenberger founded S&H Transport in 1994 to offer brokerage and logistics support for industries.
In 1998, Shellenberger saw an opportunity to improve York City by purchasing a dilapidated terminal and warehouse within city limits.
Shellenberger founded Granite Transportation in October 2000 to serve the local food and manufacturing sectors.
Since 2002, Shelly Rentals has fostered better customer care by offering dry-van trailers and reefers for rent as cost-effective, short and longer-term storage.
Acquiring Cassidy Transportation and Carroll Gross Transportation in 2010 added bulk tanker and flatbed capabilities.
S&H Express added HF Campbell Transportation and Landis Express to the Shellenberger Family of Companies in 2014.
The Shelly Truck Driving School was founded in 2014.
