TAVR procedures are also done in the endovascular OR Thoracic cases include both laparoscopic, robot assisted and open procedures. The CVOR service line is comprised of 4-6 ORs depending on daily volume including an endovascular suite. The CVOR service line has the capacity to do four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. Candidates applying to this order must have a minimum of 3 years of recent full time experience as a CVOR technologist in a high volume hospital setting, with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac/thoracic/vascular procedures. Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered Current CST certification required, must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed. Must be able to function independently in a fast paced surgical environment with the ability to “hit the ground running.” The schedule will either be 8, 10 or 12 day hour shifts Monday-Friday based on department need at the time of interview. Requires the ability to lift at least 25 pounds and remove assistive devices to clean properly. Safely utilize equipment. Report any equipment needing service or repair immediately to the Maintenance Director. Participate in emergency fire or disaster drills and other in-service training as scheduled. Must be able to safely assist in an evacuation. Assist in care of a resident after death. Follow Universal Safety Precautions to protect oneself, residents, and other staff members.
