1991

S&A Computer Services, Inc., was founded in January 1991 by Stephen Bowker and Amy Easterday.

In May 1991, they moved into office and warehouse space on Mansell Road in Roswell, GA, added three employees, and changed the company name to S&A Computer Services.

In August 1991, S&A Computer Services, Inc. was officially incorporated in the state of Georgia as an S-Corp.

1993

By then, Lorentz had been ousted, eventually replaced by Jean-Marie Descarpentries, who led the company on a vast streamlining effort beginning in 1993.

1994

On 28 April 1994, the Orange brand was launched in the UK.

Then, in 1994, the company formed a joint venture with another leading automobile inspection group, Dekra, forming Dekra-Veritas SA. The combined operation featured more than 1,100 inspection centers throughout France.

1996

In 1996, Bureau Veritas paid FFr155 million to acquire fellow French company CEP (Controle et Prevention), the country's leading provider of building survey and industrial inspection services.

1996: Steria adopts a new strategy, making systems integration a key target area.

1997

That year also saw the release of a CMOS featuring 4.7 million transistors, and leading the way to the introduction of the first fifth-generation CMOS-based mainframe computer in 1997.

Descarpentries stepped down in 1997, replaced by Guy de Panafieu as CEO and chairman.

1998

1998: ACTS Testing Labs of the United States is acquired.

1998: Compagnie des Machines Bull changes name to Bull S.A.

1999

1999: Steria goes public on the Paris stock exchange; subsidiaries are formed in the United Kingdom and Singapore.

By the end of its 1999 fiscal year, the company's losses had mounted to EUR 288 million.

2000

In August 2000, France Télécom S.A. bought Orange from Vodafone.

According to Forbes, it is considered one of the top 2000 largest public companies in the world.

In 2000, also, Bureau Veritas created a new division providing e-commerce certification services.

2001

In December 2001, Bureau Veritas purchased Plant Safety Ltd., an industrial inspection subsidiary of the UK's CGNU Plc.

2004

The company continued to grow and in 2004 S&A became a preferred service provider for the leading OEM in computer hardware.

2006

From 1 June 2006, France Télécom start to commercialize all its products under a single worldwide brand, and Orange Business Services became the brand for all its business services.

2008

In 2008, S&A acquired a dba as SA IT Services, Inc.

2011

Purchased and placed into operation a fully, self contained transloading unit in Tucson, AZBrian Corcoran joins SA ServicesAwarded 2011 Union Pacific Chemical Transportation Safety Pinnacle Award

2013

On 1 July 2013, the group had changed its name to Orange S.A.
