The employee will perform manual and clerical work in receiving, shipping, issuing supplies, providing mail services, and performing fleet management tasks. The work requires familiarity with a variety of inventory, ability to make accurate counts in receiving and issuing, and ability to exert moderate physical effort. Must have computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A familiarity with material management, equipment management, and fleet service systems is a plus. The work is performed under general supervision and is checked by observation, physical counts, and a review of records. Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30 pm | Location: Brier Clinic, San Bernardino, CA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES Ensures the accuracy of orders and promptly submits bills to the finance department for payment, maintaining a seamless financial workflow. Demonstrates proficiency in developing, maintaining, and auditing inventory through a comprehensive material management system. Processes claims related to damaged merchandise and rectified discrepancies in shipped items, ensuring a high standard of quality control. Manages the efficient processing of internal requisitions and ensures accurate issuance of goods to relevant departments. Ensures timely pick-up and delivery of mail to assigned sites and the post office, exhibiting reliability in mail logistics. Proficiently operates, monitors, and troubleshoots various mailroom equipment, including meters and printers, to guarantee the smooth functioning of systems. Conducts routine maintenance on mailroom equipment, proactively preventing malfunctions and ensuring continuous functionality. Reviews, sorts, and distributes incoming mail, directing it to the appropriate sites and departments for streamlined communication. Proactively monitors and orders mailroom supplies, preventing stockouts and optimizing workflow efficiency. Manages the issuance of vehicles to SAC Health staff through effective calendar management. Performs regular safety inspections of SAC Health Fleet, ensuring vehicles are consistently maintained in a safe operating condition. Coordinates and oversees necessary maintenance for fleet vehicles, ensuring their optimal performance. Effectively communicates issues and concerns regarding ordering and supplies to Purchasing Agents and Department Leaders. Travel to other clinics as necessary; must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance. Additional responsibilities as assigned by department leadership. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college work preferred. Licensure/Certification: Valid California driver's license, and auto insurance. Experience: Minimum two (2) years or more of experience in either purchasing, inventory management, supply chain or cost control required. Healthcare experience preferred. Provide information for all inquiries both in person and by telephone regarding clinic fees and payment programs for uninsured patients. Determine appropriate program or payer source for each patient checking in based on complex criteria including medical services needed, family size and income. Interview patients for sliding fee scales. Providing applications and screening patients as needed. Determine amount of discount and utilizing federal poverty guidelines. Demonstrates the ability to identify the patients account via date of birth or name search; creates accounts for new patient appointments; and verifies and updates demographic information. Licensure/Certification: As a requirement of this position, you must receive EPIC certification for the module you have been hired into. Working knowledge of insurance verification/eligibility insurance programs (ex: Medi-cal, MediCare and sliding fee programs) preferred. Preferred: 5 or more years of progressive experience in learning and development, leadership development, organizational development, or HR consulting roles leading components of development programs, coaching leaders, or facilitating groups at multiple levels of the organization; familiarity with learning and performance systems such as Paycom, Lattice, or comparable platforms; understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methods, and talent development tools; experience in healthcare, education, non-profit, or other mission-driven environments. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Efficient use of computer, copier, fax machine, and multiple line telephones. Interpersonal Skills: Strong skills in customer service facilitation, conflict management, change management, listening, responding, interpersonal interactions, influencing, and project management are desirable. Oversees scheduling, payroll activities, budgeting, and reporting for CRC activities and programs. Works with HR in the recruitment and processing of event volunteers. Assists in the interviewing process and evaluation of CRC Staff. Coordinates flow of information within the department. Maintains schedule for regular department meetings. Monitors CRC contract compliance, audits and reports. May assist in monitoring of other program contracts or grants if needed. Builds and maintains strong relationships with community organizations, local agencies, and stakeholders. Develops and implements outreach strategies to increase awareness and utilization of CRC services. Assesses community needs and designs programs that provide education, resources, and support. Represents the CRC at community events, meetings, and forums. Promotes outreach projects and programs for surrounding communities. Monitors program and event effectiveness and adjusts offerings based on feedback and data. Understands and is sensitive to the complexity of psychosocial stressors impacting the underserved populations served by SAC Health. Maintains updated resource directories and referral systems. Connects individuals and families to internal and external resources, including health, housing, employment, and social services. Conducts interviews with families to perform assessments and service plan needs and identifies basic needs that are required for the family to stabilize. Facilitates education groups as needed including, but not limited to Healthy Weight class, Postpartum Depression support group, and other health education classes as appropriate or needed. Coordinates Multi-disciplinary Team meetings as needed. Maintains CRC monthly/quarterly report identifying department activities and highlighting Social Determinants of Health. Makes reports, data and event schedules available for inclusion in monthly SAC Health Board reports. May work in the evenings and weekends and travels for community events.
