Keen eye for detail and precision craftsmanship. Ability to read and execute from blueprints and shop drawings. Strong communication and teamwork. Rough Carpentry / Metal Stud Framing: Framing and Layout: Measure, cut, and install metal stud framing systems for walls, ceilings, soffits, and openings. Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural and structural drawings to guide layout and execution. Drywall Prep: Frame openings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; assist in drywall installation when needed. Tool Operation: Use hand and power tools including screw guns, saws, laser levels, and fasteners safely and effectively. Safety: Follow all construction safety procedures and PPE requirements. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other trades and carpenters to maintain productivity and sequencing. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience: 3+ years of experience in commercial carpentry, including both rough and finish scopes. Tool Knowledge: Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment. Blueprint Literacy: Comfortable reading and applying construction documents, layouts, and shop drawings. Safety Mindset: Demonstrated understanding of and adherence to safety standards. Teamwork & Communication: Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly on job progress and needs. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on delivering precise, code-compliant, and visually excellent results. Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: OSHA 10 or 30 Certification Experience in tenant improvements, institutional builds, or ground-up commercial construction. Familiarity with layout tools and techniques (e.g., chalk lines, laser levels) Responsibilities Installation: Install baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, window and door casing, stair railings, and prehung doors (wood and hollow metal). Measurement and Cutting: Measure, cut, and fit trim and millwork with precision to ensure proper alignment and finish. Woodwork Fabrication: Construct and install custom cabinetry, shelving, and other storage or display elements. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret construction drawings and design plans to ensure proper execution of finishes. Problem-Solving: Make on-site adjustments for fit, finish, and alignment, and resolve layout or design issues as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with foremen, project managers, and fellow trades to coordinate workflow and meet project goals.
