Sadaharitha started planting of its seed of investment plans in Horana, 14th August 2002.
In 2003, first commercial plantation of “Mahogany” was established in Padukka, Waga (Galabandi Mukalana) with an extent of 8.5 Acres.
The 25 Acre land in Ingiriya was the second plantation project to commence in 2004.
Sadaharitha foreseeing the vast demand in time to come for quality and certified timber, in 2006 “King of Woods – Teak” was introduced to the product portfolio in 25 acre land in Puttalam.
In November 2008, with the re-registration “Sadaharitha Investments Ltd” became “Sadaharitha Plantations Ltd” proving a steady growth in the journey becoming the leading and most innovative conglomerate in commercial forestry management in Asia.
Hence extensive researches over medicinal and aromatic plant species were conducted, resulting “Sandalwood” being introduced in 2009.
