Meet some good people. That's about all thats good about Safelite!
Working every single Saturday. Giving you random days off through the week. The pay program is a JOKE! Only allowing minimal tools to perform the job. It is a very deceptive company. All the way around the board. Sending technicians with very little experience out on vehicles that they are not qualified to do. Leaving the technician nervous and scared to work on the vehicle. Promising timeframes to the customers that they know full well. Their technicians cannot meet. When you give a technician, 8 jobs for the day and 7 of them are 8 to 12. That is simply impossible to do... They leave it up to the technician to deal with the customers that are not going to get done within that timeframe. I could go on for hours. Steer clear this place. Trust me, I worked there two different times. The second time they claimed they had fixed all the issues. But it was just as bad if not worse. Do yourself a favor and act like they don't exist.
The insurance is decent.
Never met the c e o. Some of the management team is okay.
I would start by proper training for the technicians. And all the proper tools. And make sure that the technicians are properly trained to use them.
As far as a technician, you don't have to prepare, they will hire anybody with two feet and a heartbeat. As long as you pass the d m v report and valedex
Not working for this terrible company anymore. Is what brings me joy!
From my experience it is sub par! They make it sound good. And tell you about all this money that you can make. But you will struggle to make a decent paycheck. You may come in some mornings and have 8 or 9 jobs. But your glass won't get there till noon because they didn't deliver it. It is a very complex pay system. For most people, it is very difficult to understand. And they like it that way!
I don't know that this is a.Relevant question. But I would say. It's pretty diverse. They'll pretty much hire anybody so I don't think they are excluding anyone.
New vans and decent pay to start
Safelite has created an extremely toxic work atmosphere. There is no employee appreciation whatsoever. I go above and beyond on every single car I work on and what do I get in return? Hit with warranties I have no control over and constantly have to worry about being demoted due to metrics that are also mostly out of my control. The company makes billions yet has zero interest in doing anything to make it an enjoyable place to work. When I started we had parties, we got gift cards for good performance and we made a bonus on every check when we were doing well. Now there are no bonuses except for managers. There are no parties unless paid for by a manager. And there is no reason to go above and beyond because nobody recognizes it except my customers. I will continue to do the best of my ability because that is who I am but the way this company has chosen to go is beyond disgusting and to say that its a people driven business is not true whatsoever. I see people every day get taken advantage of and used for profit. I can't wait to leave Safelite or as a lot of people call is Slavelite
There are perks??
The ceo is a completely useless part of safelite. Since she started employee morale has gone to zero. There is no employee appreciation whatsoever
Any employee appreciation at all
Filled out an app and resume
I am not compensated fairly for my experience. Safelite does not value experience all they care about is trying to pay people the base pay or as close to that as possible
It's ok
Helping my customers. Otherwise the work culture is extremely toxic
Good Pay, Professional Co-Workers and Management
Insurance premiums are cheap but the insuance isn't very good..big deductibles
Good experience
Pay isn’t worth for the work
They give you the tools you need to work
Flexibility and mobility. Working from my own vehicle makes me feel more in control
Hard to hit commission. Base + with a threshold to make money
No micro management. You are your own boss!!!
Work environment was healthy and didn’t have problems with co workers
Heavy lifting and when we got busy we would have to pull 600 pieces of glass day between 3 co workers and deal with delivers and ltl pallets
If you work fast enough your day will be done.
Great for talking to different types of people and helping with their insurance claims or any questions they had
I'm not my own boss
I was making money
People that I worked with
Some integrity issues and lack consistency
Able to have work-life balance
They are very understanding of the needs of the employees
The customers can be very rude though the managers are always there to back you up.
Week prompt salary
The pay is great my store manager is the best manager you could ask for
I can make over time and a good bonus weekly
