A Day in the Life:
Starting each morning with a walk through the plant to ensure that all employees have the tools and resources to have a safe and productive day.
Working alongside the production team to ensure that all safety guidelines are met by auditing and doing departmental checks throughout the day.
Leading safety training and retraining to ensure each employee is empowered with the understanding of their role in the safety at the plant.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Report to the plant Safety Manager and perform tasks as directed with the highest level of transparency
Assist in development and implementation of new safety projects and programs
Develop and maintain all training programs and safeguards for new equipment/process
Research and procure items needed for plant safety improvements
Organize and maintain all new hire safety training and compliance acknowledgments
Conduct and maintain all annual training, including forklift driving certifications, first-aid certifications, LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) certifications, etc)
Understand and reference all applicable OSHA regulations
Ensure plant is OSHA compliant
Familiarity with all other AHJ (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) is imperative to maintain applicable compliance (NFPA, ANSI, NEC, NIOSH, etc.)
Enforce compliance of PPE and all other safe work practices to promote a positive and lasting Safety Culture
Keep plant stocked with proper safety supplies and PPE
Perform monthly plant safety audits and maintain all regulated frequent inspections
Verify routine equipment inspections are properly conducted and compliance is maintained in all areas of the plant by all employees
Ensure all safeguards are in place and working properly
Ensure all workstations and tasks are free of hazards
Conduct and report all incident investigations and determine root cause and corrective plans
First Aid response and treatment for employee injuries including transporting injured workers to seek medical treatment when needed
Guide employees through the workers compensation process alongside plant HR, maintaining records and facilitating all restrictions
Accurate and concise record keeping of all safety related documents and processes including but not limited to training records, SOPS, SDS, and OSHA abatement documents.
Job Requirements:
0-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality
4-year technical degree mechanical or mechanical engineering technology, Fire Protection Safety Engineering technology, Environmental health and safety sciences etc.
Self-starter and with solid communication
Manufacturing experience preferred
Focus on process improvement and lean related principles (Kaizen, 5/6 S, 6 Sigma, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work standing for extended periods of time
Required to use ladder, forklift or other means to acquire parts for product assembly
Able to use power & hand tools, as well as electrical testing and measuring equipment

The Safety Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the area's loss control initiatives. The Safety Manager coordinates training for regulatory safety & compliance, claims management, auditing for compliance with standard operating procedures. The Role:
This position works with the Superintendent and Project Manager to administer, direct, and implement compliance with the Corporate Safety and Health policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of Company standard operating procedures and goals for Safety and Health Plan. This position reports directly to the Safety Committee Lead and is integral to executing the vision for operational excellence, and continuous improvement in Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) management and operational processes.

Responsibilities
Allan Myers is looking to fill this critical role on our HSE team to provide effective and safe instruction to new and existing drivers. This includes assessing the abilities of individual drivers, observing driving practices and offering feedback, and ensuring adherence to all relevant safety and driver policies and procedures. This position should have a thorough knowledge of the rules of the road, vehicle operations, and safety protocols, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The purpose is to help drivers develop good driving habits and safe driving techniques. They may also provide additional training for drivers who need to brush up on their skills, as well as providing support and guidance to foster an environment of continuous improvement. This position reports to the Director, Fleet Safety.
Conduct daily ride-alongs with the driver to evaluate and assess the driver's performance and communicate this at the end of each shift with driver and their supervisor.
Ensuring the driver can safely operate the truck and navigate to and from all Allan Myers locations including shop, plants, and construction projects. Including proper entrances, exit zones and safe waiting areas on the job site.
Communicating all driver expectations as it relates to safety policies and procedures prior to moving the truck (PPE, 3 points of contact, Lock-Tag out, cleaning asphalt from truck bed, etc.)
Observing the driver behavior and taking detailed notes on performance such as (nervousness, hesitation, or any other areas of concerns).
Addressing and providing feedback immediately to the driver through the day and at the end of their ride along.
Ensure the driver knows all breakdown and accident procedures in compliance with to Federal Motor Carrier Regulations and Allan Myers Safety Policies and Procedures.
Ensure driver performs a DOT compliant pre-trip inspection.
Communicating and ensuring driver understands all DOT and Federal Mother Carrier Regulations as it relates to holding a CDL including weight restrictions and permits.
Addressing all issues and concerns regarding drivers performance and behavior at the end of each shift to the Truck Foreman and Transportation Manager.
Works closely with our safety and dispatch department in conjunction with enforcing the use of proper PPE, ensuring all policies and procedures are understood and abided by, and through attending shift huddles at various start locations.

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Supervisor, Manager, or Law Enforcement related to CDL or DOT regulations.
