How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Co-Op Flight Safety Investigations responsibilities include providing support to the Flight Safety Accident/Incident Investigation Team, Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA), and Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).
The data collected through these programs supports Delta's Safety Management System (SMS), which is a cornerstone of Delta's proactive accident and incident prevention system to track, trend and resolve aviation hazards.
T his position will include exposure to the full investigati ve process, in which a successful candidate will be responsible for collecting factual data, such as damage data, injury information, meteorological conditions, crew background, human performance data, flight recorder data, and other relevant investigative data.
Students must be able to work the following semesters as a co-op, prior to graduation:
Spring 2023
Fall 2023
Summer 2024
*Must graduate August 2024 or later
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Applicants must be in a degree seeking program, with a concentration in one of the following programs: Aviation Safety, Professional Flight, Aeronautics, Aviation Management, Aviation Engineering, Aerospace Occupational Safety
+ Student must have strong written and verbal communication skills, possess a current passport, and be willing to travel as required.
+ Applicants must have at least three (3) work semesters available.
+ The ideal candidate will have a passion and foundational knowledge in aviation safety investigation
+ Applicants must have at least three (3) work semesters available
