The BBSI Risk and Safety Consultant primary objective is to help business owners maximize their investment in human capital through establishment of best practices, specifically focusing on enterprise risk management and risk mitigation strategies that jointly and positively impact client and BBSI initiatives and profitability. Additionally, the Risk and Safety Consultant will partner with client companies to educate and influence them on matters involving the promotion of a proactive risk management culture, occupational health and safety and behavior based safety.
This person must demonstrate strong business acumen, an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to proactively and consistently deliver results for our clients and internal teams.
This position is a

that is accountable to the Director of Risk Management, the Area Manager and respective Business Unit(s).
Requirements
Solid understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices
Experience working in a dynamic team environment
Worker's Compensation Claims management and coordination
Multi-client consulting experience a must

At least 10 years of risk management, occupational health and safety and regulatory experience required.
Ideally the candidate will have a professional certification(s) such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), RPIH (Registered Professional Industrial Hygienist), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), Six Sigma (Black or Green Belt) or an equivalent certification.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The starting salary range for this position is $105,000-120,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.

Conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify and address potential hazards proactively.
Lead and deliver safety training programs on best practices, emergency response, and regulatory compliance for staff at all levels.
Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and drive corrective/preventative actions.
Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, incident reporting, compliance, and employee training.
Partner with production leadership to integrate safety best practices into daily operations and drive continuous improvement.
Serve as the subject matter expert on all safety-related matters and regulatory updates impacting the facility.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
5+ years of safety management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (HVAC experience preferred).
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and manufacturing safety procedures.
Proven leadership skills and ability to influence and train employees at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess safety risks and implement effective solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety compliance software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) certification.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices applied to safety initiatives.
Experience handling workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
Work Environment
Based in Riverside, CA, within a high-paced HVAC manufacturing facility.
Frequent presence on the production floor for safety walk-throughs, training, and compliance reviews.
Occasional travel for training, certifications, or industry events may be required.
