Make regular shop, warehouse, parts, service, and office safety inspections to determine if safe work practices are being observed; ensure that unsafe conditions do not exist. Actively participate and follow the safety and health programs. Personally perform safety inspections, and review safety inspection reports and unsafe conditions reported by managers, supervisors, employees, or others. Make corrections as required to maintain a safe workplace and ensure compliance. Promote safety awareness and compliance with the Safety and Health Policies. Ensure safety awareness among workers through regular meetings. Ensure compliance with safe work practices and TLG's safety rules. Qualifications: Associates degree preferred but will take work experience and OSHA 30, 1910-1926-511-501 training in consideration of degree. 5-10 years' experience in site safety programs. Ability to communicate clearly too all levels of management. Experience with OSHA compliance. Able to train and motivate employees to create a safe environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities Polished presentation, business acumen and facilitation skills. The Food Safety & Sanitation Manager oversees the execution of corporate and local company policies, procedures, and training elements in three key areas of responsibility to include food safety, food plant sanitation and occupational health and safety. A DAY IN THE LIFE Reporting to the Safety Director, this role supports our Response & Recovery group and participates as a leader in the Corporate Safety group. The incumbent will lead the safety staff and perform safety activities including site safety assessments, safety policy/program development, and safety training development and delivery. In performing such duties, a Safety Manager will provide support to project managers in the areas of safety, compliance, risk assessment, and emergency response. The successful candidate will apply best practices and compliance requirements for safety to ensure client's expectations are met. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage projects with minimal guidance and provide training to employees as directed or requested. Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered. * Experience: 8+ years of EHS experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing/process environments with at least 3-5 years leading maintenance safety programs or teams. * Certifications: CSP, CIH, CRSP,OHST, CHST or relevant safety certifications preferred; specific qualifications (e.g., NFPA 70E, Confined Space Rescue, OSHA 500/501) desirable. * Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process safety principles; LOTO, NFPA standards, electrical safety, confined space, pressure systems, and welding/hot work controls. * Skills: Strong leadership, coaching, project management, investigative (root cause) skills, and excellent communication/ presentation abilities.
